You always know you are in for a real treat with a new Jenny Colgan book and this one was about a booklover who decides to run a mobile bookshop in Scotland. She travels up on a whim to look at a van for sale and a new life starts for her and all the locals in the village.

An easy read, charming for the most part. The main character, Nina, is bereft when the local library where she works has to let go of its staff, also getting rid of its books in the process. She hoards the books and hits on a plan to set up a mobile bookshop. She ends up in Scotland, with a couple of romantic involvements to boot. While I like this kind of story, where someone moves to a village/the seaside/whatever and instantly becomes friends with everyone, I don't think it works like that in real life! Lovely as it would be though! Anyhow, a pleasant story, except for the odd part about the train driver Nina seems to have a crush on, which didn't seem to fit with the rest of it.
