Easy to read crime book. First one I've read of this series but be warned if you are planning on reading the others as some major plot holes from previous books are in this book so it may be best to read them in order.
Another one in the Calladine & Bayliss series. This time, they have trouble to find the body. These are quite simple and uncomplicated police procedurals that I enjoy to read from time to time. There is also a lot of the personal lives of the main detectives thrown in, which could have been toned down a little for my taste.
A nice quick read.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!
It's great to be back with some familiar characters, getting to know them a little more.
Another book that will keep you reading. Once started this book does manage to keep your attention the whole way through, and leaves you wanting to know 'what next' which means as you finish one chapter you want to carry on with the next.
Book 4 in this great series, The book just got better and better the more I read, It's a great series to follow and I think would keep the interest of most crime fiction fans.
Sorry, I didn’t download this before it was archived.
Really sorry, thought I had.
I would to thank NetGalley, Joffe Books, and Helen H. Durrant for an advanced copy of Dead Lost for an honest review.
The fourth book in the Calladine and Bayliss series, I have enjoyed Dead Lost as much as the previous books. Once again another thriller that you don't want to put down. D.S. Bayliss is pregnant and soon to go on leave, so we see more of Imogen and Rocco working in this book. The team is keeping busy with a missing homeless man, young girls are suddenly missing, and a large group of homeless have set up a tent village on the grounds of an abandoned cotton mill. The owner of the mill wants the homeless out but why are they so adamant that the homeless leave. The team needs evidence which they are having trouble finding. I definitely recommend Dead Lost, a great series.
