What I remember most, and what my notes highlight, is how fear was used then just as it is now, to stir people into action which might not always be helpful to society or for the benefit of those stirred up. I would stop short of saying this is a dry read but if the topic isn't of interest to you your eyes may glaze over.

I am catching up on books because of an illness so am going off of what I remember and a few notes I made at the time. My apologies for the brevity.

I had no idea that this part of history even existed! It was an interesting read and I recommended it to friends who like WWII history, too.

An extremely interesting journey into wartime security. Something that I hadn't thought about, but am glad I explored.
