From the author of the Templar medieval mystery series, this is a collection of short stories, all set in the 1340s, and drawn from the violent world of English feudal society--the characters are realistic in their personal attitudes, often alien and repulsive to a 21st century reader, and Jecks makes no compromise in presenting them.
