Regency romance with mystery involved is my ultimate cup of tea and right up my alley. Story to keep me engaged till the end with enough romance to keep my toes curled. I cannot ask for more.

this was a surprise but really good read. I enjoyed it a lot. I thought one thing about the Marquess and it was totally not what I expected. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

This was a so-so read for me. I’ve said before that I get annoyed by “communication failure” as a central motive in a book, and the failure in this book kept the H&H going from beginning to (almost) end. The author keeps the heroine’s secret from the reader as well, and I’ll admit I got it wrong until fairly late in the game. There is plenty of action, though, for those less annoyed by this trope than I am!

This was an okay spy/romance story. Not the best historical spy/mystery I have read. Doubt I will read any others in this series.
