I made a whoopsy and didn't realise this book was part of a series, so I hadn't read the first two novels. Although I personally don't think it mattered much,
I'm an avid Sherlock Holmes fan, the character of course, and this novel was considerably mind-bending at times.
I enjoyed how this book relied upon true stories of London to create the plot, and the author is excellent at transporting the reader into London. Having lived in London I recognised a lot of the locations, and it gave me a great mental picture of what was going on.
The author did a great job of taking on the character of Sherlock, the plot was intriguing and quite dark at times, and I definitely want to go back and read the first two in the series.
