This one is a thrill worth reading. Lots of twist and turns. But in the middle of the night... what would you do?

A brand new author to me - I do like finding a new author. An enjoyable read and would be interested in reading more by this author.

Another one from my Netgalley queue that I’ve decided to listen to on Audible!

This book follows the story of a couple - Alice and Harry - who find themselves involved in a rather uneasy situation of mistaken identity and what follows is a car chase, a hostage situation and a lot of euro notes.

This is also by far the most gruesome book I’ve read - maybe ever. Especially one particular bit which I was listening to at 7:30am on the way to work … wouldn’t recommend!

Overall I think there was quite a lot going on with this one and it was maybe easier to follow along with the audiobook to distinguish between all of the characters.

Harry and Alice French are woken up by intruders in the middle of the night. They are pressed for information they don’t have and Alice is assaulted. Fearful of the intruders threats and for their infant daughter, they choose to not contact the police.

Thus begins a roller coaster ride of a cat and mouse game - where Harry and Alice are separated and fighting for their lives.

The beginning of this book held such promise and opened up as a super fast paced story for me. Shortly thereafter, it started to drag a bit and I became less invested in the characters and their outcomes.

I feel that if this book were about 100 pages shorter, I would have loved it.

This was a somewhat far fetched book, but even so it was a good read.

I liked how the author had constructed the main characters Harry and Alice French. They were both strong in their own ways and irresponsible in others. That's how they came across to me.

As the story split into two adventures or traumas, the author managed to weave them slowly together. There were many characters in this book that I didn't like, not for how they were written, but for the way the author had written them, making you want to dislike them and distrust them. It became difficult to work out who you could trust.

I enjoyed this read and it didn't take me long to finish it. I would have given it 5 stars if only it hadn't been so far fetched and implausible.

I didn't really enjoy this book. Even though I usually do enjoy psychological thrillers, for me, this didn't hit the mark.

I don't read many mysteries but am really happy when I find one I enjoy. I did really enjoy this story with so many twists and turns it makes your head spin. How one simple mistake (purposely we later learn) can send two mundane people into a deep and dangerous situation is laid out for us in this novel. I recommend this author's story of intrigue!

I thought that the premise of this book was very good, but it quickly became rather ridiculous and far fetched with a lot of violence. Not for me I'm afraid.

I would like to thank NetGalley, Bookouture, and Tom Bale for an advanced copy of See How They Run for an honest review.

How far would you go to save your family? See How They Run grabs you and drags you on the thriller ride of your life. A nonstop suspense filled, fast paced, action packed page turner that you won't want to put down. Highly recommend.

Found this a brilliant fast paced read. Will definitely read more by this author. Think this would make a brilliant film (which I'd probably watch from behind a cushion)
