I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I liked this book a lot because it was filled with practical tips and useful information. I like how the author is candid about the mistakes that he made along the way, and how he tries to help you so that you don’t make the same mistakes. This is perfect for this individuals who want to start a business but have no clue where to begin.

Fraser Doherty, young creator of SuperJam, in this book tells which steps could be followed to build a start-up in 48 hours, from focusing on a product to its first commercialization.

The idea behind this book is quite interesting, and the text is full of useful suggestions for wannabe entrepreneurs (and the bibliographic section at the end is full of useful like and resources). I think that the model proposed fits with some kind of products (mainly B2C, not services), but maybe it's not suited for other kind of contexts.

Thanks to the publisher for providing me the copy necessary to write this review.

This book is more than just advice and prompts to help start your business and make it a success, it has an autobiographic, personal touch.

Fraser Doherty doesn’t give you false hope – he is realistic. Although he encourages you to persevere with your ‘amazing’ idea, he also advises you to make sure it is pursuable.

Failure is going to occur, no matter how hard you try, you are going to face hurdles. A lot of businesses and potential ideas consequently fail altogether through dismissal of belief that it can overcome failure, and Fraser shows us how he overcame his own hurdles.

This book has lots to offer and proves that you can indeed build your own startup in just 48 hours.

Fraser does a good job of taking the reader through his journey as an entrepreneur. I like how he differentiates between "wanterpreneurs" and entrepreneurs and how one can take the step from wishing to doing.
.
He provides a "cheat sheet" of ways to start up a business in a weekend or 48 hours. He list tools that can help facilitate the quick launch of a business venture you're passionate about.

Favourite Quote: "The 48-Hour Start-Up is an experiment in focus. If you just devote all of your energy to a task that has a simple and clearly defined goal, you can achieve in days what you previously thought would take years.
.
If, instead, you try starting a business in the usual way, with all of the distractions that our modern lives bring, it may well indeed take you years."
