Deeply atmospheric, moody, the bleak countryside of Kent nails the whole. So, William Shaw? What do you say? Will William South return?

I read this book, along with my book group. We all enjoyed it very much and several members have gone on to read the first book in the series (The Birdwatcher is a prequel), Salt Lane. One member enjoyed it so much that she has since devoured every book in this series. I certainly intend to read more of them.
