I was very happy to see that Phia was trying to grow up and be more mature in this book than she was before, but because of the serryn in her I ended up hating her more than before. And Jask let me down here. I didn't love him as much and I don't exactly know why. Thank goodness for Kane and Eden. I am loving Eden more and more every time he opens his mouth.

Both of them are put thru the ringer here. Jask with the blue moon and Phia because of the serryn trying to take over. Phia refuses to listen to what Leila tries to tell her and because neither Jask nor Phia have control over themselves, things escalate to the point where they each do something to other that neither is likely to forgive themselves for for a while. Eventually Sophia single handedly ruins any small chance they might have had at an alliance of a sort with Caleb. Not helping anything is that Leila is not allowed to go to Caleb. Something that aggravated me to no end. But when Phia learns of something big, she's determined to do whatever she has to do. A risk that pays off for her, but not so much for Leila...and that upset me a little.

A lot of bad things happen in this book, and a lot of people die. Some of which I was a quite surprised by. Throme is well on his way of getting what he wants and now Leila has disappeared. Needless to say, things are not looking good.
