There is essentially two storylines within this one book, a real world one and a dream world. I really liked the real world one, would probably give that 4*, but the dreamworld was just a little strange so brought the rating down. The characters were okay but not in depth enough, so this took me far too long to finish. I have one or two other books by this author and I am still excited to get to them.

There was much to enjoy here, but I found I couldn't connect with it. I'd read more from this author in the future though.

There will Be Lies by Nick Lake. An intriguing and unusual novel with a great mix of fantasy thrown in.

This novel was easy to read, the pace was consistant and the characters were great. The plot however felt over-done and that thought really over powered the high notes of the book.
