Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for a chance to read an ARC of this book.

It's years since I've read a Janet Evanovich book and i'd forgotten how enjoyable her books are.

The Pursuit (Fox & O'Hare 5) I hadn't realised when reading this it was part of a series.

This book does not disappoint, an excellent book as always.

I am always thorn when I have a book written by Janet Evanovich. I want to read it as soon as possible, because I know it will be a hit once again. On the other side, I don't want to read it yet because then the fun will be over again and the long wait for a new book starts.
So yesterday, on a freezing cold and snowy day, I could not resist any longer.
I enjoyed it! I love the twists, the shemes, the fun, and the absurdity. A well wirtten story that keeps you glued to you chair until you have finished it.

This is the fourth book in the Fox and O'Hare series which focuses on FBI agent Kate O'Hare and criminal Nick Fox who was released from prison in exchange for helping the FBI. I might seem strange to rate a book as suspense and humour, but Janet Evanovich does a great job balancing both.

In this book we pick up where the last one left off with Nick having been kidnapped. A Serbian jewel thief wants him to help his gang with a daring robbery. Kate, using footage from various neighbourhood cameras is able to figure out where he was taken and what he might be doing. She heads off to France just in the nick of time. Of course, one robbery does not a book make and things get very complicated. Nick uses his charm and knowledge to set up a scam to catch a very scary criminal as well as save the United States. All the usual crew of misfits, including Kate's dad, come together to pull off the biggest scam yet. I enjoy this series. It has great chemistry, lots of action, a charming hero, and a woman who totally kicks butt and is proud of it. All the quirky secondary characters just make the story even more interesting. The humour is in the interactions as well as how they manage to pull off some of the stunts they do. A quick read that is fun and easy on the brain. I am looking forward to the next one in this series.

Nick Fox, top con artist, criminal and now secretly working for the FBI is back with his FBI partner Kate O'Hare in an action packed adventure. In a Mission Impossible style adventure Nick and Kate must infiltrate a Serbian gang to prevent a major disaster that could kill thousands. Pure fun, this was a quick read complete with the evil villains, slick action, lively banter and quirky characters that we have come to expect from this writing partnership.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Headline for the ARC for my honest review (admittedly very late).
This is number 5 in the series-and I knew that going in. I enjoy Janet Evanovich and thought I would give this collaboration a test run.

I really enjoyed this book-I was a bit lost at first as it seems to pick up exactly where number 4 ended. But the opening scenes were fun. It is an easy, fun read with a few twists and turns. I enjoyed that Kate the FBI agent has to bend some rules. There isn't as much blowing up or craziness as some of her other books, but I still enjoyed it. It is an easy, relaxing book great for a weekend read. I give it a 3.5. Enjoy

As I stated in past reviews of the Fox and O'Hare series, the situations in each novel are always wild, but provide for a quick read.

Although, I have loved the past installments of this series, this situation that Fox and O'Hare find themselves in just beyond extravagant. What I liked most about the others is that it was more focused on the characters and their team of misfits.

The Pursuit did not offer up this same type of entertainment and I felt myself fade off during the story. And even though I was skimming through, I felt like I didn't miss anything. I got bored and kind of just wanted it to be all done. I will not give up on this series though. These two have a lot of potential and I want to see what kind of a situation they find themselves in next time!

I love Janet Evanovich. She knows how to keep your attention and move a story along. This team continues that magic in this story.
