Ian Groves is an expert in Jack The Ripper but one key fact eludes him – the name of this infamous murderer. So when he’s presented with the opportunity to solve one of the most famous mysteries of British history, he cautiously jumps on board!

This adventure takes Ian and Lindsay, a descendant of the man who claimed to know the Ripper’s identity on a treasure hunt. One with cryptic clues that sends them across Europe. Will they solve the clues before a sinister man catches up with them?

The Whitechapel Secret is quite a pacey read as Ian and Lindsay chase across Europe. I found it easy to read, despite the length of the chapters. Loughlin packs a lot in to the 255 pages of this book. For me, he manages to capture the essence for the cities this duo go to brilliantly.

This is an interesting take on the mystery that is the identity of Jack The Ripper. Could it be true? Well anything (within reason) is possible and the theory Loughlin presents is definitely believable. Whether or not it’s close to the truth, I doubt we’ll never know but it made for a good read.

An interesting read for anyone who enjoys thrillers.
A quick read at just over 200 pages.

Easy to get through in a day.

A new take on an old case.

Again another thriller with a different city backdrop. It was a good read, but I lost pace at times. I would recommend to readers with a knack for thrillers.
