Although I did enjoy the plot and the story as a whole, I wasn't a huge fan of the characters and I didn't enjoy the writing style so this was a DNF for me.

A interesting fast paced sci fi thriller with an edge
Thank you Netgalley for this copy for an honest review

interesting fast paced read that was quite different ahn i expected but still entertaining and fun to read.
If you enjoy a bit of sci-fi thrillers give this a try!

Bonnier Publishing and NetGalley provided me with an electronic copy of Killfile. I was under no obligation to review this book and my opinion is freely given.
John Smith has a unique set of skills that were honed in a special unit for the military and then for the CIA. By the power of his mind, he can push, nudge, and influence other people into doing or seeing what he thinks that they should. As a specialist in private security, John has helped return the kidnapped children of the rich and well connected, has righted certain wrongs, and has tried to live his life by a different code than the one that the military tried to instill. Hired by Everett Sloan, the owner of a very exclusive investment firm, to retrieve proprietary from a former employee, John soon learns that this is not just an ordinary job. Along with a representative from Sloan's company, Kelsey, the pair end up on the run and in a fight for their lives.
Killfile shows self preservation at its best in the world of espionage. With nonstop action and a great main character in John Smith, the book was entertaining and well written. John is an antihero with a lot of depth, which grabbed my attention. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Killfile and would like to see another book featuring John Smith. There was just enough intrigue, just enough action, and just enough character development to move Smith forward into possible future plot lines. Readers who like suspense thrillers will find Killfile to their liking.
