Such a fun, quick read! I loved that the villain was given more than just a bad stereotype and felt as developed as the rest of the characters. And the protagonists had that sort of chemistry that leads to fun banter and an underlying relationship. I also appreciated that the elders of the characters weren't just cast off as one-note individuals nor just barriers to something that might not be socially acceptable. The Guinea Stamp is the sort of book that keeps me coming back to read more by Alice Chetwynd Ley.
