Great as always
Always a go to when a new book comes out
Thank you Netgalley for a copy for an honest review

McDermid rarely fails to give readers exactly what they want. I have to admit I didn't realise this was book 4 in a series but I have enough imagination to fill the gaps that inevitably appeared. I really enjoy the way McDermid spins her stories and the way she uses language. I really should read more of her work. Thank you for approving this title for me and I'm sorry it has taken me so long to read and review.

Out of Bounds made me want to read more of the DI Karen Pirie series. Even though it is part of a series, it stands alone very well and you don't feel that you've missed out on a back story. Intriguing and engaging. It keep me hooked.

Another great book from Val McDermid.
I started reading this book and from page one I was stucked into the story. Everything else that I was supposed to be doing was put to one side (including sleep) as I turned the pages.
The Carol Jordan/Tony Hill series is one of my favourites but the Karen Pirie series is quickly becoming a close second.

It has been a while since I have read a Val McDermid book - the Wire in the Blood series is still one of my favourites and gave me my love for Robson Green! I didn't realise when I started that this was the 4th Karen Pirie book but I think it works well as a stand alone novel - and I will be going back to read the other. I do love her writing style and the twists and turns in the plot - very descriptive. Thank you to Netgalley and the author for the chance to read this title.
