After reading the first book in the series ‘The Lost Cats and Lonely Hearts Club’ I was more than eager to read this.

This is an upshot lawyer known in the field as Jaws... in her work life as a strict force to be reckoned with. In her personal life she is rather shy and lacking in the love department, but she is a loyal friend.

Socks is the real hero through most of this story, she is the one who wakes Tish when her house is on fire. Poor Tish relocates to a Hotel while repairs are carried out on her house and Socks can’t go with her so she has to stay at Tish’s office.

This is such an enjoyable book. Due to Tish being a lawyer, there is a fair amount of legal talk but this is written so the reader can understand it.

This is feel good, slow build romance and I can’t wait for the next instalment

An entertaining novel with a touch of feline magic, this book is primarily a romance with the barest hint of Christmas adding some sparkle at the finale. The book is full of comedy, aided by Socks the cat, and sure to put a smile on your face while it pulls you into the love story. I thought this was one of the more fun festive-themed novels this year, and am growing to like Nic Tatano’s writing style more and more.

Yes yes yes! Ah what a wonderful book! So wonderful that I gave it a 5 stars out of 5! and I rarely do so! This is the sequel of the book "Lost and cats and lonely hearts club" which I quite enjoyed but to be honest I was a little afraid to read this second book, I thought it was going to be a little boring... don't ask me why but that was what I was thinking before starting reading "The Empire State cat's Christmas Gift" and right away when I started reading it I understood that I was going to love that read and I really did! If you are afraid that this is another Christamassy book well don't be because Christmas is really not the focus on this one. It's about two lawyers who are falling in love with each other but who will have to fight against each other for their clients in court. Again, this was a TOP read for me, so well written. I cannot wait to read another book from Nic Tatano!!!!!!! I recommend this book 100%!

3.5 stars. I was still in a festive mood when I read this book as my first book of 2017. I adore cats, and so cats combined with Christmas was what attracted me to this book. I received a copy of the ebook from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This was the first book I had read by Nick Tatano.The story is one of love and competition in which Socks, the Empire State cat will win the hearts of chick lit and cat lovers. Tish and Spencer's relationship was a part of the story but it seemed a little mundane at times and like there was not much of a spark.The book was a good read though.

A very cute read for the holidays, which is why I was interested in reading. Once I started reading however it wasn't so much about being a Christmas story, but a book about hot lawyer Spencer who meets adorable Tish and the furry friend Socks who might just have something to do with their meeting.
