This book did hold my interest but I just thought it was ok. Who can you trust is what i think about when I think of this book. It was a good mystery overall and I have too many questions left unanswered. This book was given to me free of charge by the publisher through NetGalley in return for an honest review.
Thanks to netgalley for the opportunity to have read this book. It is the first by the author I've had the privilege of reading so it was quite a treat.
The book was well written, taking a many a turn, and kept me guessing from beginning to end.
It was really worth the effort and I recommend it to anyone who needs a good read!
This book is certainly full of twists and turns. Each person is in another's pocket and the only one looking out for the best interest of the young main character is someone that didn't really know her. Suspenseful and entertaining through most of it. As it got towards the ending, I was hoping to understand more about what the entire hunt was about. It wasn't until the last chapter or so that it was explained. With how detailed the rest of the book was, I felt that the ending was rushed. Yes, some answers were given but, they didn't explain some of the questions about why the other characters were involved. The main character, Maggie, leads on that she was involved in protesting and things of that nature but it didn't connect to why everything was happening. Her friend died because of information she had. The information proved that someone wasn't who they said they were but, it still lacked a connection to why the other characters were involved. I did like the read though. It was a little slow and wordy at times but also it kept my mind racing with thoughts of what might happen next.
