lovely lovely lovely book! Another lovely book from Holly Martin! I read the first part of the "Christmas under a Cranberry Sky" in November and I just couldn't wait to read the second part! And I am so happy that I have read it! There are quite a lot of things and events happening in this second part and I want to say that I think this second part is even better than the first one. This book is filled with love, snow, baby matters but also difficulties to get pregnant (which is great as I don't find this topic a lot in chicklit books - which is a shame in my opinion). A very nice book to start the new year!!! I recommend it!

This is the fifth book of Holly Martin's I've read and I wasn't disappointed. It was both my last book of 2016 and first of 2017. And I would have to say it was either my favourite or second-favourite book of 2016. I made the mistake of reading this book first (there is a book 1) but it didn't detract from my enjoyment. I loved the whole host of characters and look forward to now reading the first book so I can learn more about them. I hope there is a book 3 in the series. Holly Martin is fast becoming one of my favourite authors. I liked the parallel story lines of the various characters, so there is something for everyone in this book. Remote Scottish island, hoteliers, actor, artist - this book has it all. There was also, I felt, a bit of in-depth research on the subject of paraplegics, which I thought was well-integrated. Warm characters who make you empathise with them. Definitely one to recommend.

Neve's movie star ex-boyfriend comes to town to sweep her off her feet, but Neve is caught off guard because of a secret she has been keeping. One spontaneous lie makes a mess of things and she ends up having to make amends with the man who has come to win back her heart.

Meanwhile, Adam and Ivy are feeling drawn to each other in spite of their convictions to remain single after past relationship issues. They slowly tear down each other's walls and hope to build more than just friendship.

As always, Holly Martin's writing style is fantastic and her characters are wonderful. However, this book fell a bit short for me because of all of the misunderstandings. Neve and Oakley just had one misunderstanding after another with him storming off time and time again. Even Ivy and Adam were struggling with communication and wrong assumptions were making their relationship difficult. This book was missing Holly Martin's brilliant humor and didn't draw me in quite like her other books. I must say, however, that the ending was lovely and well worth the wait.

I received this book through Netgalley.com in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to Netgalley.com, to Bookouture, and to Holly Martin.

Neve is the manager of the Stardust Lake hotel and works on the Juniper island alongside with her family. She broke up with her boyfriend Oakley a few months back, but all of a sudden he is back. Oakley came back with a certain plan, but Neve has her own secret and when it all collides, there's a lot to expect from. One secret turns things into a lie and a lie causes a lot of drama and misunderstandings. Neve and Oakley clearly love each other, but is it enough to save their relationship?

I was so happy to be reunited with the characters and the lovely island. Even though it had a bit more drama than I actually liked, but it was still very very enjoyable. The Christmassy atmosphere was so vivid and the whole story just sucks you in so you can't put the book down until you have turned the last page. It was more about Neve and Oakley, but I also enjoyed the other story line about Adam and Ivy-their story was not smooth either, but it was very sweet. All in all it was a perfect Christmassy book that instantly puts you into the holiday mood.

Another fantastic read from Holly Martin. This book is full of revelations, heartbreak and romance. A sequel to 'Christmas Under a Cranberry Sky' but this time the focus is mainly on Neve,( Gabe's Sister) and her famous boyfriend Oakley. Juniper Island has a way with love for these 2 and others.
I couldn't put this down and really hope to read another book from the 'A Town Called Christmas' series.
