I gave her first book 5* and now this one.

What a writer. What a brain storm she has to develope wonderful characters that become visually alive in your minds eye.

This is chilling, edge of your seat stuff!

Utterly brilliant.
From start to finish, as always, I was totally gripped and read in one sitting.
I will never get bored with Hall's books. She's a fabulous writer.
Loved it and will be recommending it to the whole world!

Not quite as good as Lisa Hall's previous book but still worth reading

I read this along time ago, when i started delving into thrillers. I was drawn to request this, because really - it gives absolutely nothing away with the synopsis. It is so vague that i immediately wanted to know every single thing about this family.

Steph, Mark and their young son Henry have just moved house ready to start again with Steph pregnant again and still on uneven ground after Mark had an affair, it was always meant to be a new chance for the family to start again.

Of course, it was never going to be that smooth sailing was it? When dead flowers start turning up at the house, things of Stephs are going missing and she feels as if she is slowly loosing the plot after suffereing post natal depression after the birth of Henry she really is worried. With new friends surrounding Steph to help her out, its another case of trust no one.

Lisa Hall has created a wonderfully creepy book that leaves the reader really unsure of what is actually happening, it makes us question what everyones motive is, but most of all it made me suffer with Steph. This book was brilliant, until the End - i felt it never finished - i didnt get my answers! I remember at the time i read it feeling incrediably frustrated, but maybe thats the point - it was nail biting right until the last page.
