A wonderful and compelling read that had me glued to my kindle from the very first page. A book that I really recommend.

A really good change of scenery for a book read from thrillers.

This was an outstanding historical fiction novel.

Loving the style of writing and definitely will read more of this authors work.

Set in 1935.
The Liar is her first novel and outstanding

From the very first page, I was hooked. I loved this book, I loved every aspect of it. That ending though, I did not see coming!

I really enjoyed the time period and concept of this book and plenty twists & turns kept me reading to see if the little girl Emma glimpsed was in fact her Daughter. Sometimes when we want something so bad we can almost make ourselves believe something is real, is this girl her? could it be two girls the same age have the identical birthmark or is it Emma's imagination/obsession.
The characters were well thought out and written and I enjoyed the dual narration which made the story come alive. A great ending tied the book up nicely.
A brilliant debut and author to watch out for!.
My thanks go to the publisher, author and Netgalley in providing me with an arc in return for a honest review.

This follows the story of a housewife in 1935 who thinks she lost her daughter 10 years ago, as she tries to find out what really happened. It didn't have me at the edge of my seat, but it was interesting and an easy read. It keeps you guessing the entire way as to what the real story is, and it took me till the very end to find out.

I was excited for this book and liked the concept but found the writing a little repetitive and confusing at times. I felt the characters were a little one dimensional and I didn't always connect with them.
Thanks for the read though net galley.
