If it hadn't been for the last 20% I would have rated "Eve" higher. The writing sucks you write in, the protagonist/narrator is delightful and bold and the story is interesting. I loved reading about Eve trying to find her way and becoming her own woman, but the ending somewhat ruined it for me. The romance was fine until it took over and, at least for me, destroyed some of Eve's character. I would have preferred reading about Eve finding her place without her somewhat condescending love interest.
