The Arabic tribes are taking up arms. 

The Arab nationalist leader Abdul El Nuhas has returned from his exile in Egypt to lead an army against the hated French Foreign Legion. 

They’ve had enough of French rule, and the fall of El Kwatra is their opportunity to start fighting back. 

Legionnaire Texas has lost his prisoner and been separated from his companions. He’s wanted for desertion from the French Foreign Legion. And yet – he cannot go home without bringing Herman Sturmer to the Allied War Crimes Commission.

Tex is surrounded by enemies. Although his friendship with ‘brahim ties him to El Nuhas, not every sheik is happy to see a new leader take over the tribesmen’s army. 

He is the only one who knows the truth about the betrayal of Fort El Kwatra by the six renegades and traitors from the Foreign Legion led by Ca-Ca, and they would see him dead to keep the secret. 

Sturmer and his dreaded partizans are on the hunt. And even for a man used to the deserts of Texas, the Sahara is a fearsome foe.
