Only one can survive…

El Lobo, the self-proclaimed ‘king of the mountains’, had been terrorising the border towns with violence and rustling for too long.

Gil Palmer, Texas Ranger, had orders to bring in El Lobo — the Wolf — dead or alive.

Unbeknownst to Gil, he was not the only one setting out on an investigation which began in the town of El Grande.

Alison and Keith Knox, brother and sister, were also travelling west on the trail of their late grandfather Seth Knox’s Spanish gold.

Seth Knox had disappeared without a trace five years previously, and his grandchildren were determined to discover his fate and fulfil his last quest on his behalf.

Gil and the Knoxs met in El Grande, but when they find themselves under threat from local outlaws, they decide to join forces with Gil using the quest as a cover for his Ranger orders. 

Journeying into El Lobo country, Gil soon finds out that he has rivals, not just for the gold, but for feisty red-headed Alison, and before the end of the trail, the Ranger would face the wrath of a spurned El Lobo and his angry Mexican bandit gang.

It was to be a bloody fight to the death!
