OMG. What a good book. It really gives you a look into domestic violence and not only who is effected by it, but the people who try to help them. I could not put this book down. The realness of it shook me to the core. I am not a victim of domestic violence but this book made me think about some of the remarks I have made in the past about victims of domestic violence and I do realize how wrong I was. This book explains why it may not be so easy to leave for some as it is others. This book will stay with me for a while, that is how absorbing it is. Awesome book!!! Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for the ARC of this book in return for my honest review.

A decent read about the workings of a shelter for domestic violence victims and their children. A bit slow at times.

I chose to read this book, as my daughter was once a victim of domestic violence. Although the mental scars are still there, i am glad to say that she found the strength to leave her abusive partner and is now in a very happy marriage. This book was so well written that one would be forgiven in believing it was non fiction. If one has never been in such a relationship, this novel is a must read as it's a real eye opener. .Even if you have, i would still highly recommend this novel.

My thanks to Netgalley and the Publishers. This is my honest review.

I was hesitant to start this book from my shelf because I felt like it wasn't going to be enough to hold my attention and would be one of those books that I had to force myself to finish. I am go glad that I was wrong. This book is well-written and goes into the world of domestic violence and shelters without being too feminist and overwhelming to read (as this subject matter can be.) I loved how the friendships were strong with the four main characters and loved how everything came out in the end. Great read.

Not typically my style but I have been enjoying branching out lately. From the cover that got my attention to the very last page I was swooning. Great Book.
