Get Fit with Your Dog does what it says on the tin. It is a blueprint for health, for you and your dog. With canine and human obesity in the UK and USA running at an all-time high of 40 and 30 percent, respectively, and exercise by both species in steady decline, it’s time for some informed action. This book tells you all you need to know about the dangers of being overweight, the benefits of excercise, physical and psychological, and the healthiest weight-loss regime to follow – for both you and your four-legged friend.

This was an informative and usable guide to exercising for people and their dogs. I appreciated that precautions were given based on breed, age and health needs.

I fell in love with this book's cover and the content did not disappoint! While there are other books out there on this topic, "Get Fit with Your Dog" must be one of the best ones. The production value is outstanding and the activities are perfect for me to do with my Scottish collie Lucy. The author Karen Sullivan did a great job and her extensive nutrition background combined with her point of view (to have fun getting in shape together) make for a totally worthwhile read. Highly recommend.

Part nutrition guide, part fitness routine, and part dog training, this is an approachable way to start a fitness routine with your dog. Suggestions for both of you for types of workouts, what to eat, getting checked out by a doctor before starting, and more. Lots of full-color photos and helpful tips and charts.

I can't review this book properly as it won't open on any of my devices. I won't give it one star for that, though, as it is neither the author's fault nor fair.
