Lighting Fire

This is Chase and Sookie book, Chase is a firefighter in Alaska and Sookie flies helicopters for the national guard. Chase comes to town with his team of firefighters lead by none other than Landon Sookie brother! They don't get along for some reason that's not really touched on in this book to much I'm assuming it'll be in the next book?! Which is Landon book, this was definitely a really good book but to short i did get the full story and it was hot and suspense, drama and some good action but towards the end it goes really quick and kinda drops off but that's what happens in short books! Like I said I still really liked it but wished it was longer! I'll definitely read the rest of the series that's how good it was I just wish they were full books! I really enjoyed this new and different type of romance from Leslie North. The firefighter/ small town is a little out of the norm and I love it. I liked Chase a lot as the lead male with him being a "player" but there being much more to him. Sookie was a big surprise for the female lead. I liked her spirit and that she was aimless and somehow found herself by piloting Blackhawks. Plus the two together, you just sit a root for them.

it had me a firefighter. Enough said for me. It had it all. Troubled past and how a couple come together. I rooted for them throughout the book.

Lighting Fire was an unexpected delight. I really enjoyed the story and that it gave us a chance to know each character. Kudos to the author for giving us flawed male characters willing to show emotions, talk about trauma and pain. Also giving us a female copter pilot for a protagonist. This is the first in a series and I look forward to the next installment.

I loved this book. It is such a sweet but steamy read. I love firefighter books. The characters are very realistic and go together so well. The chemistry is great between them. This is my honest review for an ARC from Netgalley.
