Very cute book! I tried some of the drawings and they turned out really cute! Some are a bit difficult but overall I think it will be a fun book to follow along and practice drawing. If you are a doodler this would definitely catch your eye!
*I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley on behalf of the Publisher and was under no obligation to post a favorable review.
As you can imagine by the title of this book, the contents are super cute and adorable!
I really loved the layout of the book, I tried out a few of the doodles and the instructions were really clearly laid out and easy to follow and I actually ended up drawing something that looked halfway decent! I also thought the sections it was split into was great too.
As much as I loved this book there are a couple of things I wish could've been changed, I think kawaii animals is probably one of the most popular sections so I wish there was more in that part of the book, there was not that many animals. I also wish that in the clothing part there could've been a human template and tips on how to draw the cute clothing onto people rather than just the individual items themselves.
Overall I think this is a lovely book that is colourful and easy to follow, I wouldn't hesitate picking this up for a friend.
Kawaii Doodle Cuties: Sketching Super-Cute Stuff From Around the World is a new tutorial book from kawaii mistress Zainab Khan (a.k.a. Pic Candle). I've reviewed another doodle book by the same creator here, and this is more of the same. Due out 6th Nov, 2018 from Quarto - Race Point publishing, it's 144 pages and available in ebook and paperback formats.
This companion book fills out the previous book by including more country specific tutorials (see cover). The format is the same as the previous book and is accessible and user-friendly. The tutorials have step-by-step illustrations which anyone can follow.
The book starts with a general tips&tricks introduction followed by chapters with food, nature (including mountains and volcanoes), architectures, animals+birds, transportation, fashion, and everyday objects.
One of the most brilliant aspects of this book (and of Ms. Khan's art) is in showing the would be doodler how to combine and build on simple elements to produce a deceptively simple cohesive piece of art which looks very complex. There are whole collage drawings at the end of the book which are provided as search&find puzzles but which would also make superlative coloring pages as well as a good tutorial on planning full page illustrations.
I've been using doodling as an awareness/mindfulness exercise and it really does work. These are cute and good fun.
This would make a really fun rainy day activity for younger kids to, well, adult age. They're appealing and whimsical and sweet.
Five stars
This is a really cute book for all ages. I loved the illustrations and think it would be a great addition to any doodler's bookshelf.
The title of this book perfectly fits it! A fun & cute Kawaii Doodle book! Hours of fun and drawing activities.
A cute doodle book mostly suitable for children. It is bursting with Kawaii Doodle projects sorted into catagories, but the style could easily be adapted to anything. It would also be good for anyone wanting to liven up their journal. The book links to a YouTube channel so anyone who enjoyed this style could take it much further. Overall a bright happy, fun little book.
This book is cute, pardon the pun. The exercises would be good for beginners or Tweens. The color palette was bright and engaging. There were a lot of activities and samples of things the reader could draw on their own.
Kawaii Doodle Cuties has got to be one of the cutest art books I’ve read in quite some time. No wonder they found a way to include cute in the title! It was difficult for me to not be distracted by all the cute drawings while reading the instructions, but I’m not considering that a bad thing in this case.
This artbook covers everything I could possibly ask for on the subject. It starts with tips, tricks, and tools, as well as a quick guide on how to use the book. From there it goes through several major categories, showing how to draw different things from each. The categories include adorable food (see what I mean about the book being cute?), precious nature & natural wonders, enchanting architecture & monuments, lovable animals & birds, charming transportation, fetching fashion, and finally everyday cute. And yes, those really are the titles of each of the categories listed in the book. I didn’t make them up myself. So that should give you an idea of how adorable this instructional book is.
A really lovely book, it gives you step by step guides on how to draw Kawaii Doodles. Food, nature, animals, transport, buildings, fashion and anything else cute! It makes it so simple and perfect for any beginner. I can not wait to start drawing all the doodles on everything!!
I really loved it!!!!
The doodles are so cute and adorable!!!!
I always thought that they were more difficult to do but with the all steps explained it seems more easy to draw and I'm willing to star creating my own doodles.
I also enjoyed the last pages, it wasn't easy to find the doodles, but I'll colour them all!!!!
I loved looking through this kawaii doodle book, as all the drawings were really cute and not too hard to do. The step-by-step instructions were easy to understand and the puzzle pages at the end of the book are definitely a good idea. All in all, this book is a must-have for all the people who like to doodle and want more cute ideas.
4/5
Live up to its tittle. Very cute and inspiring complete with step by step doodling, perfect for my untalented hands. Would like to see more since it covers only some of foods/transport/landmarks due to the step-by-step thingy.
Adorably cute book, but Mount Kilimanjaro is not in Japan.... I suggest quickly editing before sending it off to the printers.
This was such a cute book! The step-by-step plan shows you how to draw doodles. From food and animals to landmarks and transportation methods... This book features them all. At the back are also some coloring pages and search-and-find puzzles, which is a nice extra.
Definitely a great book for those who love drawing and kawaii doodles.
Awesome, cute pictures. I learned how to draw a lot of new things. Thanks so much for the review copy.
If you like to doodle and would like to learn how to make adorable pictures of food, animals, landmarks, etc., this is most definitely the book for you! The creator of this volume, quit a job to become a full-time doodle artist. Kawaii is explained as a particular kind of doodle which focuses on cheerfulness and sweet faces in the illustrations. Steps are provided for how to create many irresistible doodles on your own. I woke up grumpy today and found that this book cheered me up and gave me lots of good ideas. Highly recommended if you like to draw!
My 10 year old loves all things Kawaii so I requested this title with her in mind. She thought all of the pictures were super cute and the step-by-step instructions made it really easy for her to learn to draw them as well. This book for would good for speakers of any language since the step-by-step drawings do not require reading. This book included pictures of places all over the world and it was really interesting for both me and my child to look at it and try out some of the drawings.
This is a cute book. The directions for drawing are step by step so even a novice can achieve good results. This would be great for middle grade students that love to doodle while taking notes or watching television. I can envision students using this technique to embellish their journals and assignments in school. I enjoyed trying out the drawings.
Oh my goodness, cuteness overload!!
I went through this with my daughter's, we all totally loved it. We all have different drawing abilities but all managed to follow the steps easily and all ended up with lovely drawing after.
The steps are clear and simple and leave you with fabulous doodles that make you look like a pro!!
Great selection and interesting themes too.
Brilliant book that would make a great gift to people of a wide age range.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This how-to-draw book is honestly the cutest thing I've ever seen. I mean, the cover page says it all. The book is divided into several topics (food, animals, clothing, plants, transportation, etc) and has many easy to follow drawings. They were really intuitive and the outcome looks amazing and adorable! I love the pastel palette of the book and the consistency of style. At the very end, there's a section that acts like both I-spy and colouring sheets. If you're looking to learn how to draw adorable pictures, this is it.
I love drawings that look so simple you think “I can do that!”, I like them even more when they come with instructions so you know you can do that. That’s what you’ll find in this book. Sure, you’ll still have to practice getting the little details just right, but you will feel like you can make something super cute even with no established drawing skills at all.
There’s a lot here. Who doesn’t want a smiling box of chocolates? Things like the dumplings are a little grimmer and yet still adorable even as they cry.
You’ll find more than food here though. There’s a smiling maple leaf for my Canadian friends. An angry volcano.
Still want more? How about a pyramid or a windmill? The Eiffel Tower perhaps? Animals. Transportation. Perhaps you like clothes? Between the telephone box and Fez you’d be well on your way toward drawing some cutesy Doctor Who themed art. Maybe you love Legos but are tired of stepping on them? Draw them instead!
And when you hit the end of projects to draw? There’s still more in the form of two page spreads of hidden object games (which you could also color if you so desired).
A great book for kids or adults.
Prepare to be overloaded with cuteness, but that is what you came for, right?
<img src="https://g2comm.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Screen-Shot-2018-10-11-at-11.18.55-PM.png" alt="" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-4605" />
This book is a step by step instructions to draw all sorts of cute stuff, more cute stuff than you can shake a stick at. (Although, admittedly, a lot of the ways to get your drawings super cute is to had eyes and a mouth to them, bust this book shows you how to do it, so it works.
The book is set into sections, for food, travel, animals, that sort of thing. It is more a look-up-what-what -you-can-draw rather than sit through and read every note of it.
Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for an honest review.
Race Point Publishing and NetGalley provided me with an electronic copy of Kawaii Doodle Cuties. I was under no obligation to review this book and my opinion is freely given.
The author starts out by explaining the word kawaii, as some readers may not be familiar with the word. Kawaii is a Japanese concept dating back to the 1970's and the word roughly translates to cuteness. It can be used to describe anything, so the author has taken the opportunity to show readers how to draw doodles in categories such as food, nature, architecture, and fashion, with the country of origin prominently displayed.
With a short description on how to use the book, readers are able to jump right in and start to create. The step-by-step instruction will be easy for beginners to follow, making this book a must have for anyone who has a desire to learn to draw in this style. The author shows the line drawings, including showing the finished picture in color. I really like how varied Kawaii Doodle Cuties is, sparking my interest in picking up a pen and trying my hand at drawing. Some of the offerings are easier than others, but the fun thing about doodling is that there really are no mistakes. Just add in a little something to cover up a problem area and transform what could have been a mistake into something unique and special.
Kawaii Doodle Cuties is not just for kids, as anyone needing a pick-me-up or a smile will not be able to resist the charm of the book. The search and find puzzles at the end of the book add a different element to Kawaii Doodle Cuties and is a fun way of seeing all of the doodles come to life. I had a lot of fun with Kawaii Doodle Cuties and I would highly recommend it to other readers.
Thank you to NetGalley for a Kindle ARC of Kawaii Doodle Cuties.
I almost got a cavity from Kawaii Doodle Cuties. That's how cute it is!
I've never read a book by this author before so I was pleasantly surprised and pleased by this how-to manual on how to draw kawaii, or the Japanese word for 'cute.'
The book opens with easy step-by-step instructions on how to draw simple shapes and styles before segueing into different categories such as fashion, nature, buildings and, my personal favorite, food.
The coolest part of this book is how the author teaches you how to build upon the basic skills of doodling and build layers upon it so it looks more crafty and complex than it really is.
There are fun search and find puzzles at the end of the art book and a tutorial on how to sketch full page illustrations.
I used to draw often as a child but abandoned it as I got older. Now, I'm looking to get back to drawing and doodling, and hopefully get my creative mojo back. My first kawaii doodle looked less cute and more like a serial killer but practice makes better.
I'm going to check out the author's earlier books because I enjoyed this one so much. It's fun for children and adults of all ages.
This is one of the cutest how-to books I've ever seen in all of my days. It was just so cute and the how-tos weren't so bad either. If like doodling but your designs come out all wrong then this is a must have. It has the cutest and easiest doodle designs ever. I would love to get this for my nieces and baby cousins, they'll love it. These designs will also look great in a planner or bullet journal. I just love the esthetics of it all and there are plenty designs to choose from.
Lovely book with a number of objects (food, buildings, clothing, cars, etc.) and animals from around the globe. It's a friendly and happy world, reminds me Richard Scarry's illustrations. Very easy steps (like in children drawing books) shows how to draw them.
As the title would suggest this book is adorable. The step by step instructions are straight forward and simple enough for beginners to follow while allowing more seasoned doodlers to ass their own flair. For those who are not idle doodlers but want to give themselves a little something to get them started then this would be the perfect resource.
My Review: If you love Kawaiis then you are going to die, hard love, this book!! It is great for the advanced and beginner drawer. No matter if you just want to learn to draw these creatures or just doodle, this book is for you! Each page has an easy to follow step by step guide to draw each Kawaii. If you are like me and love to draw all the time then you can even improve each drawing and make them even cuter.
Do I Recommend this book? YES!!
Go Into This One Knowing: Great for all ages and skill levels
Thank you NetGalley for my free copy in return for my honest review!
This is a way cute book! My boys ( 10 and 8) and myself love leaving each other little doodles on our lunch notes. Super easy directions for any age! Totally would recommend purchasing this book! Even as a gift for a little artist in your life!
5/5 stars!!!

This was so cute and so fun. I love step by step drawings and working with kiddos this was a fun resource to use with them. Thank you for allowing me to try this book.
This book shows how to draw cute doodles. From the simple lines to a completely amazing doodle. I found this book to be interesting and educational. I like to doodle but they always end up as a box. Can’t wait to try to use these drawings the next time a doodle during a long phone conversation or a less than interesting meeting!
I received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.
A fantasic resource for those who want to be able to draw these wonderful characters but don't know where to start. Beautifully illustrated with clear step by step diagrams will soon have you drawing these characters like a pro.
Suitable for all ages and abilities.
How many times have you seen cute illustrations and you wanted to learn how to do them?
Let me say that in my case it has been a thousand times, I always wanted to learn how to draw but never had the patience or a good teacher to do it.
So when I had the chance to take a look at the Kawaii Doodle Cuties by Pic Candle, I couldn't resist to try to learn some of their cute designs... but even if the book is really good and shows us all the steps you need to create their designs, I have to admit that I am starting to accept that drawing is not my strongest skill and I will leave it to the artists...
The book will teach you how to draw things around the world, like you are travelling through the illustrations you'll be creating; with food, houses, plants, animals or emblematic monuments in the different countries.
And if you didn't have enough with the illustrations, at the end of the book there are a few pages for you to colour and search for all the cute things you've learned to draw in the previous pages!
But let's be honest, even if this book has some great illustrations to learn, you will not be an artist unless you practice a lot! ;)
I really enjoyed this book! I am just starting to draw and this book has simple instructions that6 you can build on to move ono other characters. The book includes transportation, food, nature, and animals from around the world and I really enjoyed seeing this figures and expanding my knowledge of these cultures. I look forward to expanding my arts and my craft with the help of this book!
Edit: I have found myself just doodling when I have time. I use the styles I learned in this book to do different animals and things around me. This book has really inspired me to get creative!
This lovely book teaches you how to draw doodles. The author describes the technique in details with step by step drawings and words. I tried several of them and it works!!!
I received a free copy of this book for an honest review from Quarto Publishing Group – Race Point Publishing
I am a huge fan of kawaii, but not a very talented artist, sadly. I have a copy of one of Khan's other kawaii drawing books, "Kawaii Doodle Class" and I've been able to draw some adorable kawaii items using Khan's easy to follow directions. "Kawaii Doodle Cuties" is just as easy to use. The steps are illustrated well, and you don't particularly need any special talents or tools to be able to draw your own doodle cuties! I especially love this book because it had lots of different categories and where each "cutie" is from! My personal favorite was the chapter on landmarks (a kawaii Eiffel Tower and Sidney Opera House? um yes please!). Sure to delight any kawaii fan, no matter if they're old or young! #KawaiiDoodleCuties #NetGalley
My Thoughts:
Both my tween and I love doodling and creating though she admirably spends more productive time at creating art than I do 🙂 So, when I saw this book for review, I knew I had to get it for us to read, well, doodle along with it.
This book is doodally cute. While I have seen these cuties all over the internet in journaling entries and in my daughter’s notebooks(!), I had not really tried my hand at these until this book. The step by step instructions make it a breeze to produce kawaiiuties (is that a word?) and I plan to use this for more inspiration along with my little girl.
What is Kawaii? I have to be honest that when i first heard the word, I thought it was a place in Hawaii and it took me a while or rather it took my dd to let me know what it is! This book does tell you what it is at the very start. The tips and tricks as well as the tools of the trade provided that follow will arm you with all you need to get kawaii-ing.
The doodles are divided into the most adorable sections so you can pick and choose which one you love the most. You can pick from:
adorable food (beware the hunger pangs that can strike you as you draw these)
precious nature and natural wonders (i wanted to go for a walk and be inspired some more)
enchanting architecture and monuments (travel bugs will bite you here)
lovable animals and birds (a trip to the farm or zoo soon)
charming transportation (wanted to get on a double decker bus after this)
fetching fashion (oh well, i am out of ideas now)
or just plain everyday cute (and look around you for inspiration, my kitchen sink maybe!).
I am still searching for the items in the search and find puzzles included at the end of the book – cool eye-spy games for all. And I am wondering how long it took to work on those pages 🙂
In Summary (or Additional Thoughts For This Book):
This is a book that is a perfect gift for that doodler, that journalese, or anyone who wants to try out these arts. I am looking forward to working on projects with my tween, doodling our hearts and thoughts out using this book! And hopefully be inspired to work on our own creative takes on these ideas. After reading this book, I checked out the youtube videos for this talented artist and there is so much more to learn 🙂
Rating: A
Age Range: All ages that want to!
Disclaimer: Thank You #NetGalley and Quarto Publishing for the DRC of the book. The opinions are my own.
Thank you to the publisher and net galley for the opportunity to read this in exchange for an honest review.
I actually read a Doodled from Pic Candle's first doodling book and loved it. So I was excited to check this one out. Happily, I was not disappointed.
The doodles learned in this book have the same style as the first, but are more detailed. The tutorials are just as easy to understand. I followed many of them and they all came out very cute.
I would recommend this to any doodle fans or beginners to drawing in general. I think it especially goes well after playing with the first.
This was such a cute book! I just wish I could find the drawings my youngest and I drew together. This was a cute books filled with step by step instructions how to draw Kawaii Doodles. My daughters favorite Doodle was the Coffee and the CupCake lol. The Instructions in this book are very easy to follow anyone at just about any age can draw using these instructions. I hope to review more Kawaii books, my daughters and I enjoy them alot! Here are the Coffee and Cupcake my daughter loves to draw so much. Enjoy!
Kawaii art lovers will absolutely love this book. There are so many examples for them to learn to draw. There's something for everyone...food, animals, buildings, vehicles and clothing items. I especially liked the search and find puzzles at the back of the book. They would make great coloring pages.
Kawaii Doodle Cuties by Zainab Khan teaches in the art of crafting adorable kawaii art, from happy sushi to cute clothing. After an introduction to kawaii art, tools, and a tips'n'tricks section, the rest is divided by nature of the objects. The first chapter is foods from around the world. Next is a nature chapter, followed by ones on architecture, animals, transportation methods, clothing, and random objects that don't really fit any of the other categories. There's a final section with several search and find puzzles that can also be coloring pages.
Thus is a wonderful book for teaching the art of kawaii. I tried my hand at it, but my cubs proved better. Haha. My efforts weren't too bad though, and it influenced what and how I am likely to Doodle when stuck on the phone. Perfect for the artists or budding artists out there!
***Many thanks to the Netgalley and Quarto Publishing for providing an egalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.
This was a pretty solid how-to book for artists of any skill level. I had my kids of various ages try some of the techniques and I tried them as well. I'm horrible at art but even I improved some. To be honest, it even entertained me just looking at the cuteness. My youngest loves all things kawaii and art so it was a perfect way for her to spend some time. This is definitely something I would buy as a gift for others. If you're looking for a holiday gift for an artist in your life, I definitely think you should consider this.
Thank you Pic Candle, Zainab Khan, Quarto Publishing Group, Race Point Publishing, and NetGalley for the electronic copy they provided me to enjoy and share my honest thoughts and opinions with others.
True to the name of Kawaii, these are very cute drawings. The book is divided into sections including adorable food, nature and wonders, architecture, animals and birds, and more. Each has been assign a country of inspiration and I must say they are cute and the instructions to draw them are very detailed.
At the end of the book there are some page size drawing of a menagerie of kawaii doodles with a challenge to find an designated individual one.
A fun book both for the young and old and really, really cute.
Thank you, NetGalley for the preview of this digital ARC.
As the title suggests, 'Kawaii Doodle Cuties' is filled with step-by-step instructions for drawing adorable doodles. I tried a few of them and they came out great. This book is a great gift for any doodler.
This was a fun little book that gave steps on how to doodle. There were some pointers that allowed the reader to try what was being shown. The book was very clear and in a printed format it would be fun to trace..over shapes for practice. It is a great how-to book that is fun and inviting.
It’s no secret that my daughter (8) and I love spending time together drawing. We always look forward to trying out new, cute tutorials. I’ve followed @piccandle on Insta for quite some time. Back in August, we bought the Kawaii Doodle Class book and had so much fun using it. When we saw this latest addition, we jumped at the chance to check it out.
What I love about Kawaii Doodle Cuties is it teaches the user about different things you would find from all around the world. Each picture lists the name and what country it is specific to. The categories include Adorable Food, Precious Nature & Natural Wonders, Enchanting Arcitecture & Monuments, Lovable Animsls & Birds, Charming Transportation, Fetching Fashion and Everyday Cute. Each tutorial gives step-by-step visuals as well as a description on what part to draw next. It’s super easy to follow and understand. The categories end with additional images to help you get inspired to doodle on your own. The last few pages include some super cute Search-&- Find Puzzles.
This would be a wonderful book to have on hand if you are studying geography or if you just have an artist who loves to draw. It would make a fantastic gift!! We will definitely purchase a copy of our own.
Step-by-step instructions of how to draw some adorable Kawaii items. Definitely great for those who like to doodle. There are many categories, from foods to animals to architecture to fashion, and many things in between.
I’m not sure there’s anything new I can add to the many other reviews left on NetGalley, save to say I enjoyed my doodling and I think I’ll be adding this book to my niece’s birthday present list. Fun for all ages.
This is a very fun drawing book. I recommend this book for this genre. This is good for adults and older children
If you are on the internet a lot and see many a cute cartoony character on a webpage, or as a profile picture, or an artist you follow on tumblr or instagram etc and think "i wish i could draw like that" ... well now you can.
Packed with easy to follow step-by-step diagrams you should be able to doodle with ease.
This book is filled with little doodles from around the world that you can learn to draw yourself. I was personally not blessed with the ability to draw. I cannot make a straight line even with a ruler, but I have always wanted to be able to draw. This easy to follow book with step by step instructions and pictures even had me drawing some of the doodles and if I may so myself they looked pretty good.
This book is great for anyone interested in doodling. From beginners to full on doodle artists. The doodles are all adorable. They are broken down into sections as well. Things like foods, places, and other things.
I received this book from the Author or Publisher via Netgalley.com and chose to leave this review.

What I Liked
Right off the bat, I really liked the overall look of this book. It is cute, just like the title says. The authors style is really defined in this book, when it comes both to color pallet and technique. I also like how simple a majority of these are. While you do need to be able to draw ovals, circles, triangles, and other shapes to follow the instructions, with practice you will be able to follow most of these with ease.
I also loved how this book had adorable doodles from many, many countries. Including, USA, Mexico, Australia, Spain, Cuba and many more. They ranged from buildings to foods, a very wide array to represent each country in there. I will admit I was a bit partial towards the foods, what can I say? I love food and they were just too kawaii. They truly lived up to the title.
What I Didn’t Like
Some of the step by step recreations kinda take weird jumps. One example is the crepe. You go from adding. a few simple lines to then in the next stop add in all of the cream and. strawberries without giving a starting point. While the author does say to fill it with your own favorite toppings, it would be nice to practice drawing the ones in the book with more guidance to get better with perspective and layering. I do appreciate the author trying to give the reader more control, while learning there need to be more guidance, then once mastered move on.
Overall Thoughts
Overall I think this is a really fun drawing book. I think it gives great practice when it comes to learning to draw basic shapes and developing better hand control while drawing. While some of the tutorials take up jumps in the steps as stated before, you can figure it out with some time. As with anything new you are learning with practice, you improve. If you are looking to learn to draw or just want to play around, I think this is an adorable option for you.
This book is so cute! The adorable colorful doodles made me smile a lot. I loved the different kawaii foods the most! Unfortunately I'm still really bad at drawing... ;) But now I know how to practice and improve my art skills in the cutest way.
*Thanks to Netgalley, Zainab Khan and Quarto Publishing for providing an electronic copy in exchange for an honest review.
An absolutely adorable how-to book. In a world filled with how to draw manga, portraits, and landscapes, this books stands out for its cute doodles and straightforward, simple instructions. The images range from simple to surprisingly complex but the process for each is the same.
As an artist myself, I would recommend this to those wanting to explore this style and don't know where to start.
Such a cute book for anyone who likes to doodle. Easy, simple designs to help you learn. I enjoyed it as well as my daughter who is much better then I am.
Super super cute and easy to understand and replicate! I'm quite a fan of chibi style illustrations but not much of an artist myself, and yet I'm quite hopeful I'll get something good out of it lol
TOO CUTE. I can't draw anything but even I feel like I could make some of the simpler things in this book. Definitely a good buy for any aspiring doodler :)

Fun For Kids and Newbies:
The book is really nice to any beginner, but I would definitely recommend it for kids because the featured characters are sure to inspire them to practice and practice.
My kids love to draw and color, but they get frustrated when they can’t draw what they can see in their mind’s eye. So with this book as a guide, they can easily follow the instructions and since I can see what they are trying to draw, is also easier for me to offer help.
I tried to draw some of the kawaii cuties as well, and I was surprisingly proud of myself. I’m not the best when it comes to drawing, so it was super fun and rewarding to see I can draw these cuties too! It’s given me the confidence to keep practicing and to finally get this skill off my bucket list!
This book features more than 65 kawaii characters. From cute food and dessert to animals and flowers.
It is an overstatement, but I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking to learn how to draw kawaii characters.
This book has some of the most adorable pictures I have seen in a while. On practically every page, I just wanted (and sometimes did) squeal 'Kawaiiiiii"! Kawaii Doodle Cuties gives step-by-step instructions on how to make a variety of cute doodles. The instructions, along with the accompanying illustrations, are very easy to follow, even to those of us who are less than talented at art. I loved this book, and even managed some halfway decent doodles as a result. This book is a great option for anyone interested in learning how to draw this style of artwork.
If you like to doodle but sometimes need prompts for cute doodle subjects, this book will come in handy. The doodles are cute japanese-style (called kawaii) and the instructions are easy to understand. While this is not a book for most serious artists, it's a treasure trove for kids or adults that are looking for light art direction.
