Description
But what was the cause of this depression? It would take 50 plus years before he got the answer: a diagnosis of a rare condition called Dyscalculia. Armed with this knowledge, Peter attempted to salvage his life using ‘mind mapping’ techniques, which are central to managing the condition. Two other ‘building blocks’ are needed to achieve certain progress: acceptance and being open to the influences of loved ones. The result for Peter has been a profound change in his mind set.
Mainly concerned with being a self-help tool for people experiencing depression, Living with Mr D aims to help others learn to cope better with the condition by laying bare his experiences.

The author wrote about his struggles with depression and experience with mind mapping in a raw and honest manner that will help many others facing this battle. I didn't know much about the technique of mind mapping, but after reading this, I will be looking into it more.
Suffering from Depression and attempted Suicide I struggled at first to get started on this book. The brutal honesty that Peter shared made things hard to read, but at the same time comforting to read that I was not the only one that had been to the places in our mind and soul that Peter talked about. His journey is a great one and his style of telling the story honest to himeself and others is very much appreciated.
