I really enjoyed this story as it just promotes how you should feel about yourself in a really thought provoking manner. The story has its highs and lows and you can empathise with the characters throughout...
What an uplifting and empowering book especially for single women.
Like 'Chloe, I found myself nodding along to so many of her observations about how people perceive single women, and given I am of a similar age to the main character, I find myself thinking whether I should marry myself.
Although perhaps without all the drama, and social media trending that Chloe created.
There is nothing like taking a stand and going against normal conventions, to find out who your real friends and supporters are, as Chloe discovers.
This is a wonderfully funny book, her exes are a nightmare, her one attempt at online dating amusing, and just what some of the other characters wee doing for attention, utterly eye rolling!
This is one accomplished debut author and I am already looking forward to seeing what her next book will be.
Thank you to Netgalley and Trapeze for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.
Such a fun read! If you need some light-hearted humour in your life, don't pass this one by!
Chloe expects to have a future with her partner Ant; what she doesn't expect is to return from a work trip finding that things have changed between them. If it was only that, she may have coped but throw in a nutty flatmate and a bitch co-worker, and Chloe has plenty to deal with.
This is a fabulous, fun, giggly read. With plenty going on, there are bound to be some situations which every reader can identify with, and I chuckled my way through the majority of the book. So enjoyable, and definitely a book which left me with a sense of happiness and a smile on my face - and well worth googling the author, as you'll find out that most of it is true!! Thoroughly recommended!
My thanks to publisher Orion for my copy via NetGalley. This is my honest and unbiased review.
I loved this book! I could identify with the main character as I am of a similar age and am also single. I found that I had a similar world view so devoured the book! I think this book will make a great read for a book club as there is a lot of critique of society and its views of women. Will be recommending it to the book clubs in my library!
