Description
Claire has a past. Harry Stone sent her to spy on Rick Austen, a competitor, but instead she moved in with him and enjoyed the high life. Claire’s past has so far remained hidden from Rick and that’s the way she wants it to stay. But Stone is angry…
Arrow Hall, Stone’s mansion, had been torched and the codes to his secret Panama bank accounts are thought to have been lost forever. Claire visits the derelict site to try and retrieve the codes as insurance against Stone talking.
On a new deal Stone owes money to Xavier, a gangland thug, and is pushed into laundering a quarter of a million in dirty notes. Stone attempts to wash the cash through a supermarket business, which unbeknownst to him, is partly owned by Rick. When the deal goes wrong, those involved will do anything to stay on top.

I enjoyed reading this book. It had a good story to it. It is my first book by this author. I liked the style of writing in it. I liked the variety of characters in it. I hope to read more books by this author.
In this story Harry Stone is a guy who you could never trust. He looks out for himself. Two years ago he sent Claire to spy on Rick who does investments. Claire & Rick developed a relationship and she has stayed away from Harry ever since. Now Claire's world and Harry's world are going to connect again and she is afraid Rick will find out about her past. Then there are the drug dealers needing their money laundered. You have to stay on your toes with this group to know what is happening.
A little inestuous, she goes from being employed as a spy by a bad guy to moving in with the good guy who doesn't know. She needs to keep it quiet, but the bad guy is in trouble and wants her help again.
She is clever and manages to stay one step ahead.
Harry Stone faces big trouble in the end, and we'll see how she does next time out.
