Description

She lived among the rich Chinese.

Glamorous? It was and wasn’t.

Breathing Money discloses the musings of an undercover introvert who must confront the wealthy Asian scene as well as her past, present and future…all under a grimy, embroidered silk cloak of smoke. Her attempt to make peace with and appreciate today’s China was fraught with a few tiny issues:

How to:

...Enjoy life in a city center million-dollar apartment, on a golf course, next to the nouveau riche…when she wasn’t.
...Survive in a metro area of 13 million people…even though farm animals and the countryside were more her style?
...Thrive while experiencing a rollercoaster of emotions.

The story, equal parts funny and serious, is punctuated by an unexpected ending. It will definitely interest those who want a sneak peek into today’s Asia, travelers, China buffs and expats.

This first edition, February 2019, celebrates the Chinese Year of the Pig, which symbolizes wealth.
