Description
Police Detective Lori Daniels has a knack for picking the wrong guy as a lover. This complicates her next big assignment. One former lover from high school is now the front man for a major illegal drug distributor. Another former lover is the captain of the Police Internal Affairs Division, who vows to have Lori kicked off the police force, even if it means framing her as a gang informant. Her present lover is the hotshot detective from another precinct, who is super successful in bringing down the drug gangs, and also has a superego to match. Strategies devised by the State Police, City Police, Internal Affairs, and a Drug Gang, including using moles and informants, all go haywire. In the end, the trust between friends, along with steady and reliable police work, leads to the capture of a major drug lord.

This review isn't going to be long. I'm not a huge fan of a review rehashing the entire plot and spoiling it for everyone.
This is the first book by Tom Preschutti that I have read. It was a cute story. Plenty of intrigue, & action but the romance was mediocre. in my opion.
I received an ARC of this book to read through NetGalley in exchange for a fair review.
This book has a great story. I enjoyed the story line and ease of reading. It's hard to imagine a hard nosed police detective being manipulated and picking the wrong guy, every single time. It's nice to be reminded that detectives are real people, too and have the same weaknesses we do. I didn't love the explanations in the book. I have never had this thought before, but to me, this author simplified descriptions to the point I felt like the author thought I was dumb and had to explain every little detail. That got old, but overall the book was good. The characters and build up to the climax was great.
This is the first book I have read from this author.
Lori Daniels Mystery; Pillow Talk is about Police Detective Lori Daniels. She seems to find herself in difficult situation. One in particular is the fact that one former lover is the front man for a major illegal drug distributor. If that wasn’t enough another former lover is now the captain of the police internal affairs division and has vowed to kick her off the force.
The characters re well developed and the storyline is quite interesting. The novel has enough twists and turns to keep you captivated until the very end.
