James Bond is that debonair but flawed hero that we just can’t get enough of. Whether it’s the original novels or the films, we are drawn into his world and the daring exploits that come with the infamous licence to kill. The actors that have portrayed Fleming’s creation have all brought something unique to the role and this book celebrates each one.

I was happy to be granted my wish for this book from as I’m a big Bond fan with the novels, films and audiobooks regularly being devoured time and time again. I was delighted to discover some interesting trivia from Bond vs Bond that I was unaware of and I’m looking forward to tracking down some of the audiobook versions that were highlighted.

It will be the perfect read in the run up to the highly anticipated final film featuring Daniel Craig.

This is a fun book that looks at the different versions of Bond. The author looks at the history of the original books and includes a short biography of the original author. Short bits are included about the new books and comics and other endeavors. It spends most of it time on the movie bonds and their different movies which is probably what most fans are looking for.
I deduct one star because nothing is deep. Paul Simpson mentions some controversaries but doesn't got into the details explaining what truly happened and why.
But overall this is a fun gift for a Bond fan.

I thought this was such an interesting book. Loved the history behind the famous James Bond series. Both how it started out as a book and movie series. This book is a must for all James Bond fans out there.

I've enjoyed James Bond for at least 30 years now since my late teens when A-Ha did the theme tune to The Living Daylights, so I'm a bit of a fan girl reading this book.

This book covers many facets of the character including the author Ian Fleming, the music, villains, gadgets, and cars, along with the Bond girls and each of the actors that have played the man himself. Most pages include plenty of photography, either from the film set or press calls and Flemings life over the 180 plus page of the book. It includes some information on the new 2020 film, No Time to Die and alternative Casino Royales.

Definitely worth a read for any James Bond fan.

I received this book from Netgalley in return for a honest review.
