One of my favorite Bible stories retold in an appropriate way for children. The artwork will capture and keep the attention of little ones. An excellent introduction to King David. Perfect for storytime, they will be requesting it over and over again.

Everyone has a point of view and seeing the beloved bible story of David and Goliath in the eyes of playful mice can give the story a whole new perspective. Albert retells the story of how David protected the sheep and how God was with him when he faced the terror of Goliath. A read with colorful illustrations and how God is on our side when we stand for him.

This is another installment in the children's series about bible stories, told by an elderly mouse to his grandchildren. These books are told in an easy to understand and simple way for children and are really cute books with beautiful illustrations.

I thought that this book was really good!

Albert and The Slingshot is a very cute retelling of the Bible story David and Goliath from the view of Albert, a mouse! We really enjoyed the story and I thought that the illustrations were great too – a fab little read!

I really enjoyed the illustrations in this book and felt it had a cute plot twist of a mouse telling about his great grandfather being at the battle of David and Goliath.

The issue is, it didn’t dive enough into the plot twist to make it much different from any other book about David and Goliath. It didn’t have enough pizzazz to stand out to me among the hundreds of other children’s books about the same story.

Overall, it is cute. The writing is fine. But it lacks anything that makes it feel once in a lifetime of super special.
