Before this case comes to its shattering conclusion they will uncover a man’s crushed skull and shattered bones buried forty years ago ... the Mayor’s illegitimate son who threatens to destroy his father’s reputation ... a political assassination disguised as an accident .. and the most devastating discovery of all – that the truth is far closer to them than they’d thought possible.

Author Jack Polo has created an intriguing team of private investigators in Death in Paraiso. Jamal Wade and Matt Singer are comfortable with each other, and the reader soon becomes comfortable with them as they uncover deep pockets of corruption in the beautiful coast town of Paraiso. Is the big crook the mayor? The police chief? A long-missing Mexican contractor? Wade and Singer follow all leads, even some you would never have guessed.
I enjoyed the novel and read it straight through. Yes, I am ready for more!
Thanks, NetGalley, and Black Rose, for the ARC.
Death in Paraiso is about detectives Matt and Jamal trying to sell real estate as a side business. Of course things go terribly wrong when one of their clients is found murdered in their property.
Engrossing and entertaining.
Very well written. Highly recommend this novel for anyone wanting to read a novel that grabs you from the beginning and does not let go until the very end.
