What a great read - how will the McKenna descendants find a way to have true love when that love is cursed? Seeing examples of the men in his family losing their loves has him refusing to act on any chance of finding his true love.

Ella has gone back to the rez after fifteen years away from the devastating day that her father was burned alive by a crazed crowd.

Both have powers that they know about and yet have not really tapped into and used so they are reluctant to start. And with their growing attraction and connection, they both don't want to give in to this attraction and especially Tiernan - in case she turns out to be his love and then he fears for her life.

So many events, it was non-stop action and you are kept wondering which person was the one responsible for the weird things going on and the one who led the crowd to kill her father. It was hard to put the book down as I was kept engaged trying to figure this out!

Looking forward to the next book in this series!!

This is another great book from an author that I love and while this has more of a supernatural feel than her normal books it detracts in no way I absolutely loved it

Ms Rosemoor has kicked off her new and exciting series The McKenna Curse with a well written and unique storyline that keeps the reader hanging on the edge of their seat. Ella returns to the home that shunned her father many years before and is faced with not only the enigmatic Tiernan McKenna, but evils that could destroy the reservation she’s grown to love. Stealing Thunder combines suspense, mystery, and romance with Native American heritage and Irish mysticism. An interesting start to this captivating series.

There is no magic in modern society - only those who are blessed with a gift or, in their opinion, cursed know better. "Stealing Thunder" tells the story of two people from different backgrounds but comparable pasts, which they have to face in order to have a future.

The first book in a new series, Stealing Thunder brings two very different worlds together. Ella is back to face the past that took her father from her. Her Native American culture is strong and so is she. She has a journey to take to face what is happening now and resolve the past. Tiernan is facing his own past. His Irish upbringing includes a family curse that holds him back from finding love.
When a threat arises these two must embrace their gifts and determine if their connection is strong enough to risk it all. Together they are looking to solve the mystery of who is causing destruction now and may be responsible for similar acts in the past.
The mystery is full of action and suspense. The romance is both steamy and sweet. The villain wasn't who I expected. I was hooked from the beginning. I am off to read the next book.

Stealing Thunder by Patricia Rosemoor

Ella Thunder is fighting a very troubling past but having to return to face it to enable her to make her a future for herself that is truly her spiritual right. She meets Tiernan McKenna who is also fighting a cursed past and his power is drawn to Ella as their futures are destined to be forever entwined.

A well written book filled with murder, suspense and mystic powers. A page turner with so many red herrings that holds you until the bitter end.

This was a pretty good book. I really liked both Ella and Tiernnan. I don’t get to read many supernaturalish books that have a Native American twist to them. I really liked the format. I look forward to reading more from this author. I recommend.
