Living intentionally creates a soulful reason behind our actions. When we take the time to focus on what we want and why we want it, we can narrow our focus. Instead of allowing our thoughts to run wild, focusing shapes our reality. Wherever our focus goes, growth can take place. Creating an intention with focus will reap rewards. In fact, it may not happen exactly as you would envision, but it will happen as it should.

Each of us has a gift to share with the world. We are born with these gifts or develop them, and they burn like a fire inside our souls. We are all creative in our own way. It takes courage to create and share something that comes from the soul—and your gift is best when shared. You never know who may need to receive your gift. Sometimes all we need is an audience of one. Create without expectation. Let the fire within you bring passion and light into the world.
Easily implement calm, gratitude, and meditation into your daily habits with the Daily Gratitude series. These inspiring books guide you through the process of building mindful habits for your preferred schedule or personal goals. They are beautifully designed and elegantly put together to make your journey enjoyable as well as simple.

I have never been very involved in meditation. I heard that my busy life would probably benefit from it, but part of me thinks that either it would not make any difference, or it would just put me to sleep. Emily Silva’s book Sunrise Gratitude surely does not teach you how to meditate, or makes the usual list of all the benefits you can gain from meditating every day.
Instead, it takes you on this daily voyage of self-consideration. For every day in one year, Emily invites you to reflect on your life, on your feelings, on the way you react to worse times, and on the little light that always shines even in the darkest moments. I call it a voyage because five lines of text every morning are able to bring you ponder about your life and how to better it in the most marvelous ways, and your mind plays with it all day long. I have taken the habit of reading the daily passage in the morning and then I just focus on its message for 5 minutes, while sipping my coffee. It gives me a certain energy that makes me start the day with the right foot. I do not know if this can be truly defined as meditation, but if it is, I can declare that meditation, then, made my days happier.
In this peculiar time, when much in our lives has been questioned and radically and suddenly changed, this book could become a beacon in the dark, a guide to find the better moments in life even in the darker days.
I would like to thank Quarto Publishing and NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I will publish this today, August 24th, on GoodReads and on Amazon on September 8th, when the title will become available.
What a brilliant idea!!
This book is super simple in its premise, but I strongly believe it would make such a big difference.
I love starting my morning with something positive, and this book is a great way to start the day! I wouldn't call them 'meditations' - and I think using this word in the title is slightly misleading. I just think 'Sunrise Gratitude - 365 joyful days' would be enough.
The images/photographs are beautiful, but are a little random. Especially the front cover. The images, and the title are the only things that I slightly disliked but other than that I really enjoyed this book.
I was given this book to review, and I honestly think it would be something I would want (and love) to use every day.
I received a copy of this book to review from Netgalley. Thank you for the opportunity.
This book is beautiful, both in terms of words and pictures. It is very soothing to read through. I liked how it had a piece for each day. In each piece, it also had a suggestion for the day e.g. Savor the coffee which I also liked. I imagine this book would be a welcome addition to any one's bookshelf, particularly in these stressful times.
Sage daily meditations and gorgeous photos and illustrations make this wise guide a dream to read!
Flipping through the pages, I was struck by how well the brief meditations centered me, and how the beautiful design added to my peace. Highly recommended for those who want to start their day with serene purpose.

Thanks to the author, Quarto Publishing Group-Rock Point, and NetGalley for the review copy. Opinions are mine.

Wonderful concept and images. I like that the pieces of text are short. Even the busiest people will have no excuse not to read just one piece a day. I don't necessarily read them as 'meditations', more as daily affirmations to reflect on. I would love to give this book as a gift to family and friends.
Sunrise Gratitude is absolutely beautiful - both in terms of its look and feel, and also in terms of the feelings it evokes. Starting everyday with the relevant paragraph from that day would be the perfect slow morning ritual to incorporate into your life.
In terms of the content - it feels like it's made for today's fast-moving, fast-consuming generation. The entries for each day are relatively brief, though that's not to say that they are not effective or impactful. A similar-ish book that comes to mind is Simple Abundance by Sarah Ban Breathnach. Again, there are entries for each day in Simple Abundance, but they are a lot more detailed that what we have in Sunrise Gratitude.
I have an e-version of this book currently. I am definitely going to buy a physical copy. It's an absolute stunner of a book.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy of the book to review.

I read an early digital copy of this book, but I think it lends itself better to a physical book. There is a short daily reading to inspire gratitude in your day, and the layout is pretty with calming colors. I liked it enough that I just pre-ordered a physical copy so I can read a bit each morning.
A truly beautiful book. Both the images and meditations are pleasing. This would make an excellent gift for a friend or relative. I am keen to purchase a paperback or hardback having reviewed the digital copy, so that I can leave it by my bedside to open and digest the day’s meditation each morning. I’m grateful to Netgalley and publisher for the digital copy in exchange for my review. It’s a gem, I’d highly recommend it for thoughtful souls.
I loved this book of 365 meditations or affirmations. Each one is short which was a big plus for me and the pictures in the book are beautiful. I can definitely see this book sitting on my bedside table and me reading it each morning, giving me something to ponder on and help set my intentions for the day. Sunrise Gratitude would also make a lovely gift, I can already think of numerous family members and friends who would really enjoy it.

During these tough times Meditation and Self-Care are key to maintaining balance in life. Sunrise Gratitude is filled with meditations and devotions you can perform daily to maintain your inner peace and enjoy your day everyday. It is important to be peaceful each morning and live life with a purpose and this book will not only discover that purpose but help maintain that calm, peaceful and joyful life that everyone deserves.
We will consider adding this title to our R in our Non-Fiction collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.
Short yet powerful daily meditations. Wonderful pictures and drawings. It's a delight to browse through this book. However, the meditations are wonderful to start your day more positively. Reading the small paragraph each morning would make a good morning ritual.
So much gratitude for being granted permission to read this book by Netgalley!!! The daily meditations are very grounding and are the perfect way to start the day with a sense of calm. I've been looking forward to this book for quite some time as I adore the author's previous book, Moonlight Gratitude. I look forward to buying it and adding it to my collection to use with the clients I see in my practice. Such a beautiful book!! Not only are the daily readings lovely but the photos are stunning and add to theme of grounding that this book exudes!
Thank you for my advanced review copy of Sunrise Gratitude. Having received this in September, I skipped ahead and had a look through for the month. Lovely sentiments and a daily reminder that there is always something to be grateful for. Gratitude is the perfect place to start when making changes for the positive! My only issue is that there is no kindle edition available and I can only keep in my netgalley shelf for 55 days but this book has intentions of gratitude for 365!
This is a cute little uplifting ‘read a bit everyday’ book. It has a thought, reflection, or a feel good text, very short text, for everyday of the year. You are meant to read it in the morning, to start your day with a positive note. I think many people could benefit from reading this, since so many are stressed, tired, and quite frankly mean at times. By reading a few sentences in the morning, and reflecting on what you read, the day just might get a better start, and you might be in a better mood, so why not try it?
Beautiful looking book that helps you reflect inwards daily, I like that you can flip to any page and take something positive away from it. Great little book for these trying times we're in.
Such a simple but wise book. I spent a couple of months practicing these affirmations and absolutely felt the positive benefit of them. A great way to remind ourselves that the world is far bigger than we are and we are more than the sum of our jobs, our homes, our families. We are each uniquely human. Loved it!
Sunrise Gratitude provides a deep and thoughtful passage to meditate on every day of the year. I thought the passages were meaningful and well written. It is a great grounding book especially for anyone who finds traditional meditation methods difficult. The images are beautiful even though they are scattered throughout the book. I love the front cover too. It is a book to keep by the bedside and read first thing in the morning to set you up in a positive frame of mind for the day. Overall a lovely little book.
A beautiful book throughout, bright and colourful.
A book which you can pick up and turn to any page to read.
After the turbulent year this year I think this is a fantastic book to add to a mindful collection be that at home or at work.
Thank you for this ARC in return for my honest opinion.
