Michael discovers a drowned woman in his bathtub. He claims that he doesn't know her, yet the police finds evidence that they were actually living together.
Is someone framing him for murder?

Another excellent thriller by master Patterson with brilliant twist at the end.
I've read it in a one sitting, strongly recommend it.

A complex book with a very surprising finale. As I read I was convinced I’d worked out the plot only for it to be turned on its head in the final chapters. As always a very clever storyline and believable characters

When Michael Fitzgerald finds a dead woman in his bath, the first person he turns to is his sister Megan. Adopted as young children they have shared a lot but Megan can’t help him this time. Arrested for a crime he swears he didn’t commit, the evidence quickly mounts up, perhaps too quickly and too much of it, but why would someone want to frame him?

A fast paced psychological thriller, so easy to read, it keeps you gripped right to the so unexpected ending. This is James Patterson at his breath-taking best.

Thanks to netgalley and the publishers for an ARC in return for an honest review.

James Patterson at his very best! A gripping thriller that kept the reader engrossed from beginning to end. The storyline keeps you guessing who is the victim and who is the culprit leading to a totally unexpected surprising end, brilliant read.

Wow! Just wow!
From the first sentence in this book I was drawn in, I didn’t want to put it down, if I could have I would have devoured it in one sitting.

James Patterson just never disappoints. The pace of this book is unrelenting, the short chapters help build the tension and make you just want to keep reading.

Throughout the book you get to know all the characters but as soon as you feel you have a grip on what is happening there is another twist!

I don’t want to give anything away, I want you to pick up this book and read it! If you love James Patterson, if you love thrillers, if you like psychological stories with many twists and turns, this is the book for you.

Make sure you read this when you can give it your full attention, you won’t want to miss a thing, the storyline is complex and when you reach the end, you will want to go back to the start and read it all again, knowing what you do at the end!

Even though I have read many James Patterson books, this has left me wanting more!

Thank you to Netgallery, the publishers and most importantly the author, for the chance to read this book, in exchange for an honest review.

There really is no-one who can tell a story like the indomitable Mr. Patterson. He is the master story-teller. He never fails to grip the reader right from the opening pages and then takes you on a complex thrilling ride which has you on the edge of your seat and wracking your brain for answers. He entrusts his readers with complex plot lines and tantalizes with twists and turns at every opportunity, This is a real page turner and as always the short chapters just power the plot along at lightning speed; you simply can't put it down. Every ingredient is here, in the right amount and the right mix for a thriller of epic proportions and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

With huge thanks to the publishers and NetGalley.

One of his best psychological thrillers I have ever written
This novel takes you through the minds of many evil people but you will not be able to put it down , I know because I couldn’t
It starts with the arrest of Micheal Kepler the guy rang the police to say he had gone out and come back to a dead woman in his bath, he denied knowing her and murdering her, but the police don’t believe him as they go to the woman’s flat and find some of Michael’s clothes and other essentials there.
Micheal is going mad he knows he is he hasn’t killed this woman
Then the FBI get involved Agent Jessica Gimble decides this is the guy who has killed over 20 other people and at each murder his calling card is a sparrow hawk feather she decides he is her man
You have no idea how this book will twist and turn nut it will and the ending smacks you between the eyes

You really can’t go wrong with a James Patterson novel, and this one didn’t disappoint! I thought I knew what the ending was gong to be like and the culprit only to have my mind change @ the end.

James Patterson never disappoints! This incredible story of siblings one of which is accused of horrific crimes is a absolute scorcher! I loved reading about the close bond of the brother and sister, and waited with bated breath to find out who the killer was.

It's a long time since I read James Patterson, and this book was a very fast paced ride. Megan and Michael Fitzgerald, adopted children of a psychologist and a psychiatrist have a horrible childhood--treated as experimental subjects for much of their life, so much so that they are never sure which of their memories are real and which are false.
Michael finds a dead woman in his bath who he doesn't recognise and denies knowing, yet his clothes are found in her house and she appears to be his girlfriend. His only alibi is he watched a movie and fell asleep. More bodies line up, with connections to truck stops that Michael used and the FBI suspect Michael is the Birdman serial killer who leaves a feather at each killing and has been killing across the country for years. Is Michael innocent or is he a psychopath?
A rollercoaster of a ride, lots of characters and short chapters as there are two authors. I'm not a fan of the short chapters in any book, but it's still a good read. So it's 4.5 stars for me.
Thanks to Little Brown and Co. for the ARC.

Wow! An absolutely fantastic psychological thriller that will keep you guessing until the very end.

James Patterson and J.D Barker have written an amazing thriller that had me captivated and second guessing throughout. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone who enjoys mystery/thrillers. The story is told through several characters point of views which complements the fast paced plot and James Patterson’s style of short chapters.

And Patterson does it again. Seriously, the man is a creative genius. I was gripped from start to end. Even though I hope for a sequel to this one I'm guessing I will be left guessing. The only criticism I have of James Patterson is that although I read minimum 3 books a week I just can't keep up with his releases. If they were just standard I wouldn't be bothered but each is genius and I wanna read them all 😩

An avid James Patterson fan here so I jumped at the chance to read this.

It didn’t disappoint; full of twists and turns and differing narrative perspectives which added to the structure of the text.

I think using this kind of approach to writing is an invaluable tool and one which keeps the pace, which is what you want with a crime thriller.

The characters were believable and I was constantly reevaluating what was happening and trying to decipher one of the main protagonists and his truth; but I was completely thrown at the end.

This is a great book. I throughly enjoyed it.

What I love about a James Patterson book is that you can just get straight into them.

Michael thought when he got a call to say his apartment had flooded that things couldn't get much worse. Until he finds a dead body in his bath.

He calls the police, he has no idea how the dead woman ended up in his bath tub. He has no idea who she is, but then the police evidence of him not only knowing her, but had a relationship with her.

Then other bodies turn up, linked to Michael but his adoptive parents and an 'experiment' they'd been running.

Michael's sister Megan appears to be the only person he can trust in these murders he has no recollection of, but the evidence puts him there.

It was an absolute rollercoaster of a read, the ending taking me completely by surprise.

This book reminded me of one of my favourite Sidney Sheldon books 'Tell me your dreams.'

Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to review this book, this is my honest opinion.

In the main, I’ll let the synopsis speak for itself, but briefly, Detective Garret Dobbs and FBI agent Jessica Gimble take on the almighty case of catching a most devious and clever serial killer. After being alerted to the murder of a young woman in Michael Fitzgerald’s apartment, they quickly find that the killing spree continues from coast to coast, and it’s going to be the mother of all investigations, so hang onto your hats, because the shocks in this riveting psychological thriller begin virtually from the word go!

This was a complex (and at times, confusing tale), but there’s no doubt that it was gripping, and, aided by the use of short chapters, very fast paced, however I do believe a slightly shorter version would have worked equally as well without detracting from the overall storyline - it was rather lengthy. Nevertheless, it was clever, and compelling, and there’s no way I could put it down for long.

A psychological thriller written by two greats - James Patterson and J D Barker, where we are treated to an engrossing storyline, odorous red herrings, and twists galore (the plot was turned on its head more than once) non stop action, and for me, a crazy mixed up son of a gun storyline that yells, make a movie out of me!

Well I feel like I’ve been placed inside a spinning top that’s been spinning wildly out of control for the past 4 days! WHAT a read! There’s a reason this guy is at the top of the league table and it’s for books like this one.

Hands up... I must admit I’ve never picked up a James Patterson novel before and boy do I feel silly now. His writing is so enthralling it’s like reading a blockbuster movie. Everything is on key, the characters are brilliantly written and all the twists and turns have been expertly hidden until Patterson is ready to let you have them.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, I LOVED this book! From the moment I picked it up the plot grabbed me and even when I put it down I was thinking about it. Even when I thought I ‘knew’ it turns out I didn’t! Absolutely brilliant.

Thanks to NetGalley for my advance copy in exchange for my honest review.

James patterson and Co very rarely disappoint and they didn't this time. The twists and turns leave the reader racing through the next chapter and then back tracking to make sure they didn't miss any clues. A stand alone book, excellent story.

#TheCoasttoCoastMurders #NetGalley A brilliant book, I absolutely loved it and it kept me guessing all the way through. It's got a really good original storyline, new characters that we haven;t seen before rather than the series books, a psychological thriller that I will be recommending to others.

This is surprisingly my first James Patterson novel - and I loved it. A great story, if slightly longer than it needed to be - with a brilliant twist at the end - the themes of multiple personality disorder were fascinating and I had to really concentrate at times to fully understand who was who, but it was worth it - recommended.

What a thriller, it took my mind from coast to coast!
Fast paced, with short snappy chapters, I couldn’t turn the pages quick enough to see what was going to happen next.
I guessed some of the twists but not all of them and the authors had me guessing until the very last page!
The writing was superb and what a partnership Patterson and Barker make.
Im sure this will be turned into a film before too long!

Action and confusion abound in ‘The Coast-To-Coast Murders’ – the action begins from the outset and doesn’t let up until the very end and the confusion is intentional as the authors play with the psychological twists of the human character. The result is a frightening thriller, the events of which, baffle both the detectives and the reader. And then there is that added twist at the end.
The chapters take the reader between the events as experienced in real time and as memories recounted by one of the main characters. In some novels this can be distracting but here it successfully adds to the plot.
I have to admit to experiencing an initial feeling of annoyance and overriding scepticism when reading the opening chapters as the events and situation all seemed far too impossible. However, as the story unfolds, this is not only explained but becomes integral and means my rating for this rapidly increased.

Thank you to Century (Penguin Random House) and NetGalley for this copy in exchange for an honest review.

The coast-to-coast murders by James Patterson and J.D Barker is a 5 star read.
This story is a huge hit from James Patterson, and his co-author J.D Barker. As always with a James Patterson book you are sucked in from the very first page, the twists and turns keep you on the edge of your seat.
I highly recommend this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book through Netgalley.

A twist and turn of a read which kept me gripped throughout the book. I love James Patterson and this book was an enjoyable read. Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for letting me review this book.

Absolutely brilliant!
Sick, creepy, shocking, rolled into a suspenseful and an oh-so-cleverly complex mile-a-minute page turning rollercoaster ride of a thriller. I thoroughly enjoyed the short chapters and rapid switching of view-points to keep the narrative flowing.

However the collaboration worked, JD Barker and James Patterson have created a great read.

Should you read it? Will you read it? Will you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed it? These aren’t important questions, what is important is Who is on the Mark?

Thanks NetGalley and RandomHouse UK for a Review Copy

I absolutely loved The Coast To Coast Murders by James Patterson and J.D Barker.
There were so many twists in this book that my head is still spinning after finishing it. Everytime I thought I had figured out where the story was going there was another twist that sent me completely down a different path. In the end I could not put it down and went onto read half of it in one sitting as I was desperate to know what was going to happen next. Even on the last page the book did not disappoint with a twist to the ending I did not see coming!

From the first sentence to the last this is a masterclass in thriller writing. A story of serial murders spread across USA but is it a serial killer or a series of killers? A truly gripping fast moving unusual storyline, could it come true is it possible? Who is the hero? Who is the villain? Will we ever know? Don’t miss this book if you like the best

The Coast-To-Coast Murders is co authored by James Patterson and J.D. Barker. It is narrated in first person and is shown through the eyes of multiple characters. This is the first book that I have read by Patterson or Barker and I must say that I was not disappointed because it completely blew my mind to smithereens. Filled with a great storyline, strong characters and the craziest twists. Every time I thought that I had it figured out another twist was thrown my way. I definitely did not predict that ending.

This is a must read…

James Patterson is a master writer of the thriller genre and this one is no exception We go on a massive ride with the four main characters adopted siblings Michael and Megan Fitzgerald and Los Angeles, Detective Garrett Dobbs and FBI Agent Jessica Gimble who are trying to find a serial killer. An arrest was made but the murders continue and Michael Fitzgerald is their main suspect as a truck driver he has the means and there is the fact that a murdered woman was found in his bath tub . But is it all that it seems or is their more going on than anyone realises It will all come to stunning conclusion on the final chapter as it usually does with James work

#TheCoasttoCoastMurders #NetGalley James Patterson never disappoints and this book was no exception. From the first page I was drawn in by the fast paced plot and I hung on every word! Plenty of action which I love in a thriller - I don't want to get bogged down with lots of descriptions - and just when I thought I could stop holding my breath as the truth had come out there was not one but two twists at the end!! Brilliant!
