I listened to the previous audiobook of judge dredd and although I enjoyed it I was not fully engaged or immersed, now I have got acclimated to the cast and narration style I am loving it
Due to my enjoyment of Judge Dredd: America, I requested this audio and I wish I had listened to them the other way around as I found the story of America to be the stronger of the two which isn’t too surprising since it’s one of the classics. The Pit was an interesting story that held my attention and weaved Dredd’s mission to step out corruption with the way in which the young Judges react to the surrounding madness.
The production of this audiobook is stellar and means that I will bump my rating up from 3 stars to 4. The sound design and music helps propel the story as it makes you more caught up in the events. The cast clearly put an effort into the emotions of their characters instead of just reading the lines, they give some depth to the emotions that they are facing in this brutal life of Mega-City One.
