Description
Anaya, a spirit guide, has been tasked with guiding her charge, Kade, to save the Chosen One. There's only one issue: Kade can't hear Anaya's guidance. If she doesn't get through to Kade before her rival, Jordin, tempts him away from his life Plan, the world will end in a way it was never meant to.
In Shifted, by KristaLyn A. Vetovich, we experience the end of the world from a spirit guide's perspective. It is an exploration of the gray areas that lie between what is good and what is evil.

I really liked this book! It was a fun, enjoyable read that is unlike anything I have read before. I often made time for sitting down and looking into it, and all the characters are written with a realism and touch of charm. Even Kade - who I bonded with his Firn on in thinking he was a ditz in the beginning.
I loved reading from the point of view of Kade’s guardian spirit, known as a Firn - they added humor and wisdom in their narration of the story. It was refreshingly original and enjoyable as a point of view. It added to the experience substantially.
This book is good at mystery and sci-fi/fantasy elements. It kept my attention well, and I could feel how the family went through their struggles. The author is obviously well-practiced as cultivating and creating characters.
Overall, I want to sincerely thank Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC of this book. It was a fun read!
