What a delightful read! This was my first Moorcroft's and I definetly want to read many more. I was captivated from the very start and couldn't put this book down, as I wanted to know what would happen to Zia Lucia Costa (such a mouthful of a name!) and her extended estranged family.
There are so many questions that you'd want answered at the beginning and in time the book answers to all of them, so it's very satisfying. The settings are beautiful and the characters relatable and well-drawn.
I read this book both as an ebook and as an audiobook, and I want to say that the narrator is incredible, I loved hearing all the different accent, great job!
Highly enjoyable and definitely recommended!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Oh goodness me this book was awesome. I had the pleasure of listening to it through audio and I just couldn’t stop listening, A delightful and charming story that had me hooked. I adored it.
Zia-Lucia Costa Chalmers has plenty of questions about her family, (and that name), so she journeys to Italy to find some answers. While searching for the Italian family she’s never known, Zia is more than a little distracted by vineyard owner Piero. This is a delightful story of love and family under the Italian sun. The perfect distraction amid lockdowns and canceled vacations
Really enjoyed this book, especially as it was audio - I listened whilst walking the dog and doing DIY and cleaning around the house.
It took me a while to warm up to the narrator but then by the end I thought she was the perfect choice.
Loved the story - couldn't work out how it was going to end and glad it kept me guessing!
