I loved the Foot Care Handbook so much! I learned so much about my feet and the various pains I experience what's even better is the remedies offered are easy to follow, I may not have had all of the ingredients on hand but fortunately they were easily found in my local health & wellness shops (or online!) and I found a lot of relief for my ailments! I love this book and highly recommend it to everyone, even if you don't have any foot issues I think prevention is better than cure and this should be a staple book in every home!
I have really enjoyed The #FootcareHandbook by Stephanie L. Tourles. The book is a quick and comprehensive guide to proper care of our feet. The book discusses the anatomy of the feet and provide exercises to strengthen our feet. The author also discusses common foot problems and provide natural home made cremes that we can use to remedy some of the problems. Some of the problems discussed are arthritis, athletes foot, hammer toes, ingrown nails, calluses and corn etc.
This book is a quick and very interesting read. It is a nice reference book for each home and makes a great gift.
I highly recommend this very useful book.
I would like to thank #NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of this book, and my review is voluntary.

I came across this book when I was having some foot ailments myself so I was eager to read it.
Thanks to Storey Publishing and Netgalley for the ARC.
I found the pictures to be helpful and the massages and stretches helped me so much.
I don't know how many of you have a foot roller - but I had not known about foot roller massages until reading this book...let me tell you...my feet are so happy now,
Whether you are suffering from foot ailments, or are looking to maintaining healthy feet, I definitely recommend reading this! 5star
I really really enjoyed this book. I wasn't sure if it was going to be what I was looking for but it turned out to be the best thing.
It's asbolutely bursting with information, about your feet, shoes, foot care, stretches and exercises to try for good foot health. I had previously been worried about over stretching my feet by doing foot exercises because I work on my feet all day, but I was pleasantly surprised and the amount of information was just great. Plenty of tips in this book.
I thoroughly enjoyed it and would welcome this book to sit on my shelf to refer back to when I need it!
Very, very impressed, this author clearly knows her stuff.
With thanks to Netgalley for allowing me to read this free ARC in return for an honest review. This book has helped and changed my attitude towards my feet so much, it's been a pleasure!
I have Suffered form foot pain very recently and this book covers the majority if not all of most people’s foot concerns. I really like the overall style of the book.
It is a very factual book with a section specifically for diabetics which I appreciate as my brother is a type 1 diabetic so this is something that I can recommend to him.
Every section has hints and tips as well as treatments you can follow at home. I will be trying some of the foot baths as well as some of the creams/rubs you can make yourself!
Very easy to read, I love the bit about the foot and the hand going the same way. Made we laugh trying it.
What a gem! Who would have thought a whole book on feet could be so enjoyable and inspiring? I’ve picked up lots of tips to pamper my feet as well as gained an understanding of how to look after them as they are very deserving of care and appreciation. As the author so rightly say, “ Happy Feet = Happy You”.
Once again, I have to apologise to my long-suffering feet for being cramped into shoes, having to endure long hours supporting me and not being pampered often enough for doing a grand job.
The Footcare Handbook gives you the best possible tools to get your feet into a happier place. It is crammed full of strategies like suitable footwear, massage, moisturising, exercises aaand it gives you loads of recipes for natural remedies, potions and lotions, scrubs and creams - all to care for your feet.
The book is organised into logical sections, all with “action plans” and clear and comprehensive images. General care of feet is followed by dedicated chapters on specific foot problems with special mention of diabetes feet.
This is a definite “will buy” and very possibly a last-minute bulk order before Christmas for friends with long-suffering feet.
This book is REALLY interesting and helpful. I had never realized how important my feet were and how poorly I treat them as I complain about how much they hurt me every night. This book is a must-have for anyone with feet, or who knows someone with feet. I really like all of the illustrations on how to do everything. There is no guesswork here, you CAN get your self care on!
I received an ARC from NetGalley, but my opinions are all mine.
I love the layout of this book.
Starting from the beginning and really giving a full introduction to your feet and feet health.
The stretches are easy and can be done while watching your favorite show or drinking a cup of tea.
I am super excited to make some of the foot balms, and it is good to know pedicures are justified!
I feel like this is a book you could go back to time and time again!
Big thanks to the author, Net Galley and the Storey Publishing Publicity Team for letting me review this book for my honest opinion.
Stephanie L. Tourles has written a book focusing on remedies for healthy and happy feet. There are five chapters, starting from foot basics to foot fitness, foot massage and reflexology. the final chapter deals with common foot problems. I particularly enjoyed the chapter on foot fitness because the author provides exercises for healthy feet along with reasons for why those exercises are necessary. They are all quite simple that one could do while engaged in other activities such as watching TV or reading. In addition, there are recipes for homemade foot refresher and massage oil.
The chapter on foot massage was another favourite, along with her recipe for cocoa butter foot balm. It is very easy to make (even I could make one using lavender oil), smells amazing and my feet feel very soft when I have used it in combination with her massage technique.
I really like this book and would buy it for myself as well as a gift for friends/family who would benefit from the foot wisdom in this book.
Great little book on taking care of your feet. We too often think nothing of them and they are the support for our entire body. Stephanie gives us a good foundation on the basics of foot care, exercise, and even massage. She offers "recipes" for creams and oils that may be helpful. Finally, she addresses many of the foot problems people acquire and what can be done about them
