Another fab book from the Little Brown Bear series, this time focusing on making mistakes.
This book helps children to acknowledge and celebrate their mistakes and helps them to understand that they are part of the process of learning and growing. With its beautiful illustrations and child-friendly text, children are given examples of why it’s ok to make mistakes, like not being fast enough in a race is okay because although you haven’t come first, it’s okay and it’s about taking pet and having fun.
I recommend the Little Brown Bear series for young children to support their personal, social and emotional (PSED) development and understanding. It share fab inspirational messages that young children can understand and learn from.
** I received an advanced copy of this ebook to read and review. Thank you NetGalley, the author, illustrator and publisher for allowing me this opportunity **
I love this book! The illustrations are fabulous with a classic, retro quality, a gorgeous colour palette and really interesting textures. This delivers a sophisticated message through a very simple story and limited text - it's genius! I wasn't familiar with the author-illustrator before but am delighted to have discovered them will definitely be looking up more of their work. It's OK to Make Mistakes is ideal for use in a nursery or pre-school setting and would make a fantastic gift for a new baby too.
It’s OK to Make Mistakes contains such a fantastic important message for children and is told through everyday relatable situations young children may find themselves in. The vintage style illustrations mean that this will be such a gorgeous book to own in hard copy and it will appeal to younger children (5 and under) in particular.
