I was so lucky to receive a copy of this book from the publishers and NetGalley.
It is a fun little book containing different types of trivia, quizzes, and activities for children.
The book is beautiful and colorful and contains lots of cute little drawings and fun details.
The activities in the book are made for children, and I think it is perfect for summertime, with road trips, waiting in lines at amusement parks, etc.
I would personally have loved this book as a child while being stuck in the backseat for hours.
On top of that, the book contains interesting facts and can teach your child a few things about geographics and animals—quite a clever way to teach kids.
Unfortunately, the book I received was an ebook, and it just doesn't work very well like that. You can't use the stickers, and you can't draw and write where you're supposed to. Maybe the ebook would work on a tablet with a tablet pen? I don't know if the format would work for that. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend getting the ebook. The physical book, however, is perfect for kids and a lot of fun to do together.
As an adult reading this book alone, it is not that entertaining, to be honest. It is simply too easy, and we (adults) are just not the right audience.
A fun activity book companion to the reference, Our Wonderful World. Beautiful illustrations accompany a variety of activities. This would be perfect for elementary school aged children and great for a road trip.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC.
Don't forget
Those who regularly read my reviews know that I like old fashioned activity books. They are fun, teach a bit and do NOT have anything to do with screens. So, no surprise that I like this activity book and recommend it.
Within this title’s brightly colored pages are a variety of puzzles. For example, children can trace the route to a food from each of a number of countries. Then, on the next page they are invited to create their own menu. The world map that is for coloring asks children to choose six colors; they will then see that no two countries of the same color are touching. This seems like a nice way for kids to see how big our world is. The other activities also look like they would appeal to the children for whom this book was created.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this title. All opinions are my own.
This fab activity book is full of trivia quizzes, spot the difference games, colouring activities and lots of fun challenges to keep young minds busy. Exploring a wide range of geographical, historical and cultural information to spark the 'globe-trotting' within. It is full of plentiful facts, which provide children with lots of knowledge about our big, wonderful world.
The interactive pages will make this learning fun and more likely for children to hold on to what they have learned. It is full of fab illustrations and I can see Primary aged children expanding their knowledge, while having fun when using this engaging book.
In the setting that I work at, we also open as an after-school club and I can see those children enjoying engaging in the activities within the book. Being full of a vast variety of activities means there is something in there to suit everyone. A great activity book to keep busy minds entertained.
**I received an advanced copy of this ebook to read and review. Thank you NetGalley, the author and publisher for allowing me this opportunity**
It's important for children to get an early awareness of other cultures by learning about geography, history, climate, cuisine, languages, and people that are different than their own. Our Wonderful World Activity Book provides this opportunity in an adventurous and educational activity book with stickers and a wide variety of interactive activities. This book is colorful, well written and illustrated, and engaging for children. I also enjoyed reading it and learning some new facts about our beautiful world.
A wide variety of learning formats teach other skills in addition to learning about the world. Activities such as World Word Search and Jumbled Up Bird Names enhance reading and spelling skills. By designing a postcard and drawing a picture of a national flower, children learn artistic expression and creativity. A sequencing activity on what to pack for a trip covers language skills in comprehension and expression. The fun and knowledge go on and on while children learn about animals, wildlife, landmarks, famous buildings, flags, sports, recreation and more that are unique to each country.
As an educator, I love a book like this that covers such a wide range of activities for different learning styles of children. I think children, whether they become future travelers or not, will develop a sense of wonderment from this book. There's a good chance they will also be more accepting of people and culture that is different than their corner of the world.
Thank you to Net Galley and Quarto Publishing Group - Wide Eyed Editions, for the Advance Reader's Copy and the opportunity to review this book.

Such a fun activity book for little world travellers. My Son loved the fun facts about countries and enjoyed the true and false questions. Such a colourful book, I like that it left creative spaces to draw and imagine between all of the many puzzles and games. Really reminded me of the well constructed Usborne activity books we’ve used before. A little bit of everything for everyone. Thanks to Netgalley and to Quarto publishing for the Arc in return of a fair review.
