Description
Explore a Dark Dystopian Universe Ruled by Artificial Intelligence Through Curious Eyes of a Young Electum!
They say that you can be moral only when life, as such, is sacred to you...
Seau is an Electum, a descendant of the enhanced race - a genetically modified child. Like all the other young Electums, Seau spent all of his life in a research laboratory under the constant surveillance of Artificial Intelligence. However, one day he finds himself on the other side of the wall - in a world unbeknownst to him.
Outside the walls of a research laboratory, there lies a post-apocalyptic and unfriendly world – world filled with new and intelligent beings and permeated with dangers. Luckily, Seau isn't left to his own devices as an elder, but awkward electum offers his protection.
Seeking freedom from the capture of AI, Seau is forced to time-travel to a different time and civilization. But Seau's time travel to a distant past takes a dark turn. He first gets to meet the "Wild people" as he is relocated to a Civilization whose ruling class hates human beings. There Seau has to make a difficult moral decision.
Will Seau be able to make the right decision, or is all hope lost?
Julia Dadanova's first novel, Er or Seau, is a compelling science fiction that explores the future of humanity. The narrative starts from the perspective of one hero. The main hero then changes, which leads us to a completely new and unexpected plot twist.

Pallavi Sareen FIVE START rated it it was amazing
Er or Seau is a science fiction tale involving different races, artificial intelligence, a post-apocalyptic dystopia and time travel. I’ve read too much sci-fi to know that whenever AI is involved, it ends up being more about “humanity” than technology.
The book begins with the character Mi trying to escape the Center. She meets Seau, the book’s protagonist. And from here onwards, the book is really descriptive about the premise of this futuristic world. The prose does show that the author did research to make sure that all the science stuff was accurate and helps the reader imagine the world as it is meant to be looked at.
Another character Er is an “enhanced” being and his personality is what I found most fascinating. But it is the theme of the book that gets you reading it from cover to cover. It has its highs and lows which took me on an emotional ride and created a depth to the storyline.
I have read too much sci-fi but this book really gave me a Never Let me go by Kazuo Ishiguro’s vibe with the narrative style and the characters and emotionally, it was like watching an episode of Doctor Who. It shows you the darkness of humanity but also the uplifting part of it that makes you appreciate it. Overall, I think it is the kind of book that just lingers on your mind long after you’ve read it. And anytime there is a conversation about sci-fi, I think I would recommend it.
W.A. Stanley 4 STAR rated it really liked it
Er or Seau: AI & The Enhanced Race. Novel is a science fiction tale involving different races, artificial intelligence, a post-apocalyptic dystopia and time travel, but more importantly, it's a story about the human condition.
It is clear from the book that the author has a great understanding of the futuristic science involved in the story, or at the very least, has undertaken a lot of research. As a result, I never had trouble suspending my disbelief.
As great as the science is, the real star of Er and Seau is the humanity of the story, and the development of the lead character and his analytical view of the world.
There is very little violence in the story, and what there is, is anything but graphic. However, the book still manages to unsettle the reader with the impact of the violence.
I highly recommend this book; especially if you are looking for an intriguing science fiction story that will linger with you long after you've read it.
