“Meathead is a well-earned nickname because, if there’s a dumb choice to make, Jimmy will make it. These stories are about being a kid, about dealing with peer pressure, about having a logic system with priorities completely alien to an adult mind.” –Dr. Jane Lindskold, New York Times bestselling author of the Firekeeper Saga and many other works
“Meathead stories are a fun read about all the things kids try to avid growing up and still turn out to be decent. Thankfully, Jimmy went through it all and was cool enough to share it with us. Read it!” –Kirk McEwen, 98 Rock in Baltimore
“The Meathead stories are thrilling, hilarious and dreadful as he stumbles experiencing losses, celebrating victories, and searching for absolution.” –Jonathon Scott Fuqua, author of The Reappearance of Sam and winner of a Booklist Editor’s Choice
“A sweet snapshot of a 1970s suburban American childhood.” –IndieReader

Jimmy’s nickname is Meatheaad. He is keeping a secret from his friends. What is the secret. He is still riding his Big Wheel as he doesn’t want to fall off his bicycle. He did this when he tried riding his bicycle when his dad took off the training wheels. Meathead and his friends go on several adventures. They often o down and follow the swampy stream to catch frogs, snakes and lizards. They also try to impress the older boys. Do they?
The author has written a story that tells us what boys might be thinking when they decide to do something. It’s fun to read. The illustrations are terrific. This is a book to be read by anyone regardless of age.
