Description
A shocking assault shattered her innocence. But she won't let it break her spirit.
Sixteen-year-old Hannah Kollman's so wrapped up in proving she's not like her bipolar mom that she's forgotten who she is.
And when the normally straight-arrow teen throws caution to the wind to follow her more free-spirited friend to a college party, a drugged drink changes her life forever. Now she's the victim of an assault she doesn't even remember... and it's either stand up to the bullies who hate her for it or be ostracized forever.
With friends and enemies alike pressuring her to stay quiet about what happened, her parents treating her like she's fragile, and her own fear pulling her back toward depression, can Hannah turn her pain into power and become the advocate for herself and other survivors she longs to be?
Advance Praise
"Hannah's repressed rage and relentless agony is portrayed without any melodrama, strengthening the impact of her riveting story as the survivor of a sexual attack." - Prairie Books Review.
"Most stories about rape are about rape. This book isn’t. Without diminishing the horror of rape (and without graphic details, which I think parents of younger readers will appreciate), this is most of all a coming of age story. A grueling, unfair, horrible, all-too-common rite of passage where these young women discover who they are and get a glimpse of who they will be. This is a book about finding the best parts of ourselves, celebrating them, and silencing the inner and outer voices trying to keep us in shamed silence." - Amazon Reviewer

Once I started reading this book I couldn't put it down.
I have been in hannahs shoes, so to read a book that shows how broken a person is, to how strong they end up being was really powerful.
I was mouse!! Never wanted to speak up,
Loved how you also encouraged males to speak up aswel, they are forgotten about at times.
This is definitely a book that shows all the stages that a person goes through when something so awful happens to them, really don't think it could of been put any better
This is such a relatable story as for many people this cpould easily be a reality of going to a party and waking up and not remembering anything, especially anything that happened to you. The author caught those emotions on the page with clarity and sensitivity and I was so endeared by Hannah I just wanted to give her a hug. I really enjoyed this story.
The plot of the book was such a great page turner. The plot of the book was very well written. I truly cannot wait to read another wonderful book from this great author.
