Description
After having his life saved by Hanshee of Clan Dula, Raymond Covington now finds himself joined with the young warrior on a journey to a distant land of blue mountains and unknown peril. Together they must use every skill and trick at their disposal; racing, sneaking, and fighting their way through towering forests and fetid swamps, over the treacherous ice and snow of high mountain passes, through the turbulent waters of rivers and seas, and across the borders of nations both great and small.
Between them and their goal are men of the most brutal sort; some fueled by honor, others fueled by bloodlust and greed. They will face vast armies led by powerful kings, deadly assassins relentless in their pursuit, beautiful women with their own surprises, and good people willing to help them on their way.
With more action, adventure, intrigue, suspense, humor, and wonder than any one story should be allowed, Awakening opens the door to an epic tale you won’t want to miss.

Thanks Netgalley and publisher for the opportunity to read and review.
Hanshee and Ray were intriguing protagonists. Both very different from each other, literally from two different worlds, bit it was nice to see them developing friendship, trust and partnership, especially when the true warrior was Hanshee, while Ray was mysteriously thrown into a world he doesn't belong to, with skills to understand unknown languages and learning to use these skills when it was most needed. There is a nice ballance between dialogue and action, although I still wish there was more creativity and epicness regarding this foreign world that Ray mysteriously finds himself in. Still a nice start and a good first book by the author.
