Thank you NetGalley for this very interesting story. In this day and age there are parts of this story which could be happening to someone close to you. Alex had reached his forties being single, buying a home and having a good job with out anything happening negative to him. Then along comes a woman to change his life. An audit for a company that isn't on the up and up. Divorce and his parents death and then he meets another woman while he is going through this that gives him someone who can relate to him. Will life ever get better? I think so.

It’s a deep love story intertwined with crime, intrigue, and tragedy.

Alex is a handsome, successful professional, busy with his job, music and love of the outdoors. He is completely unprepared to face the blows that come at him all at once—a failed marriage, the violent death of his parents, and serious personal threats.

Within a few short months, he experiences the loss of those closest to him, and his career is threatened by a criminal corporation. There are vicious attempts to destroy his professional and personal life, and he must use every means possible to avert them. The unlikely events that turn misfortune to joy mingle treachery with strong character, bonds of family, and newly discovered love.

Rochelle, the daughter of Moroccan immigrants, comes into his life and brings a sense of mystery, sensuality, and excitement. Despite the challenges of escaping the past, pit against the background of deceit and intolerance, she and Alex try to build a life together. The difficult choices and decisions they confront test the boundless limits of love that would define their future together.

Plot was amazing and so was the cast of characters. I found this story to be well written. Will recommend to others.
